I wish both Udoka and Stone were gone. I don’t trust the role player coach to make tactical and strategic decisions on the court. and the last thing I want is a desperate, scheming general manager with career on the line to make last ditch irrational moves to waste assets that were accumulated so far.
Apparently, he's incompetent as a defensive coach too. He's been exposed in this series (and thru much of the season). This team can't stop a high school team. He's just totally incompetent.
Clearly not because they were feeble attempts at upgrading the roster at the All Star break. Just my opinion but I felt like they were saying let's wait until next year to reevaluate the team. Kind like an F' you to the fans.
More NBA players outright calling out Ime. Rashad saying that he's confused as to why the Rockets seem so lost at attacking doubles, since that's what teams have done all season long how can we not have a counter to it by now? Also wondering why KD even brings the ball up the court since it allows defenses to load up and prepare. Said this is what any defense would do by default basically to a superstar. Says other players can play, but the offense is making it hard. Wonders why Reed, a shot maker, only takes 4 shots when you know KD is getting doubled. Also that Sengun looked like trash... A lot of discussion on KD too not making quicker decisions on the double but all the players wondering how the Rockets are incapable to have a counter for a "BS Doubleteam" Add him to the long list of ex-players and ex-coaches saying the same thing but I'm sure someone on here will tell us that it's not Ime at all, Ime's coaching fine, everyone is just sucking...can't be that everyone is sucking because the coach is getting outclassed...I'm sure all these ex-pro players and coaches are just stupid and don't know what a DHO or a play is...
Its gotten so bad that Ime has to go. Need to see what a fresh set of eyes can do with these players before we go trading them away for peanuts. Stone needs to go as well. The team needs a culture reset in the worst way.
Ime has to at the very least hire a good offensive coordinator. Preferably he should go, but no way Fertits eats that contract.
I was wrong..... I had thought he was merely a mediocre coach, but he is a bad coach. Coaches grow and learn to so I understand why Tilman paid for the extension but he just hasn't grown at all. He had all season knowing how teams where going to play us and he failed to come up with options. Coaches can be let go at will so Tilman could eat the contract. Not really sure if Tilman would want to pay up for a better assistant coaching staff (he definitely preferred cheaping out on assistants) for next season or just remove Ime and the coaching staff to use that money for an entirely new staff. Hopefully the latter. KD didn't kill the vibes, Udoka did.
