It should be obvious that changes need to be made next season through trades at least. But which players do you want to keep to start this process over?
I personally am okay with FVV, Jabari, Amen and KD in the starting 5. We need shooting and can't have Sengun and Amen on the floor at the same time (and Sengun can net us more I'm sure). I am 100% fine with getting rid of "We needed an X-Box 360 but got an A-Tari" Eason and Sengun. Both players could land us some interesting fillers for our offense. I like Reed off the bench as that spark plug, but he can only be effective as a 2 guard with other shooters on the floor.
You get over this bullshit “wE hAvE tO kEeP oUr YoUnG sTuDs ToGeThEr!” mentality. You trade whatever players and picks you need to trade to pair Giannis with KD and you make a run at it. Win a championship and they can rebuild for as long as they want, as far as I’m concerned.
There are two options - 1. We either keep our roster but replacing Ime with a coach that sees both sides of the court, not just D. Or - 2. If we keep Ime, we need to strip our roster off players who don’t make 3 points threat as much as possible. Build a roster with a lot of Reed and Bari type of players so he won’t be able to play with lineups that have mire than one non-shooting player. The offense will naturally be better this way just by having more spacing. Ime is too stubborn to not utilise the shooters we have on this roster, and since there are no many, he can still keep these type of poor rotations. The question is - what type of moves can Stone make? And does he have the balls to ignore Ime’s say on such moves.
I've seen enough. We are not winning anything with one point guard and of course, we are not winning this series with our one point guard unable to play. It's management malpractice that we didn't pull at least a league-average PG by the trading deadline. I'd keep Durant, Sengun, Amen, Reed, Fred, Adams, and Jabari. Everyone else should be considered for sacrifice to bring in another decent point guard. That includes Tari and Clint, Holiday and Tate. Especially DFS. Yes, we will probably need another center for the 60 games that Adams misses. (I'd like to move up enough in the draft to take Luigi Suigo, the 19 year-old 7'2" center from Italy.) We'll also need an adequate 8 and 9 to eat some minutes during the regular season. That should be doable. Of course, it would help if we could also trade for a decisive GM and find something for the failson to do besides cosplay GM--give him some swag, thank him for a good job, and get him out of the building. Oh, and get an assistant coach that knows how to fit an offense to unconventional talents.
Fire Ime Amen Reed Jabari KD (trading him might be difficult to impossible). Find a way to get into the top 6 of this draft (Sengun + X?) and pick Flemings or Acuff. Find a stretch big and a versatile 2 guard.
Trade KD and Sengun for a horde...young talent. Let's move the timeline back. Fire Ime's incompetent @$$.
Same top-8 players with a new head coach. At mid-season, trade away 1-2 players who don't perform well even under the new coach. After next playoffs, trade away 1-2 more who didn't step up. I am struggling to completely dismiss players when there are currently so many coaching mistakes being done on both sides of the floor.
Keep Amen and reed and smith(since we just extended). Fire sale everybody else and start over. I would keep sengun if we had an actual pg guard who could create an offense.
To be honest, I have no idea, you have not heard from the owner for 6 months, the only life signal was when he bought the WNBA team.... The Owner should be there to give the Direction.

Sengun is gone. It's 2026 and a back to the basket center who can't defend other Centers and switch is an issue. Amen needs to learn how to shoot or he comes off the bench. Reed and jabari start and we start playing outside in.
Fire Ime, try and trade KD (even without his consent who gives a ****), try and trade Sengun as well. Tari is likely getting a decently team friendly deal this summer. While I don’t love his bbiq or offense, may be worth holding onto him as a bench piece. The other tertiary pieces (Tate, holiday, DFS) trade or keep and then trade this next deadline or summer. Bring back the younger core under a new coach (Billy Donovan?) and see what they can do. Trade them deadline or next summer if you don’t like them. Sucks the ‘27 draft isn’t like the ‘26 draft.
