Can't forget his double big lineup. My favorite yet was wanting harden to play off ball and let wall be the table setter lol
My dumbass was really hoping for a Popovich-like tenure from Ime after that first year. Boy was I wrong.
Clearly Ime but that is not saying much. Ime is only good at raising the floor of the team. He clearly had better team than Silas and even then he is only good for regular season.
Folks got fooled by that end of year run in Imes first first season. They did look like they were turning a corner but the Sengun had that terrible injury,
I probably would take Silas right about now...Dat boy had Daishen Nix as their starting point guard lol They were trying to lose, at least he tried different lineups and leaned more to offense. Ime doesn't give a damn about offense...his main objective is for everyone to play hard defense and hustle hard...hell Ime might have been the reason KD banged up his knee in practice probably talking **** and saying he's not hustling hard enough
My favorite was when we played the hawks his final season he said I tried to tell them we won't win the game if we don't swing the ball they won't listen me lol aren't you the coach????
If we kept Silas to the 23/24 season, but still made the same roster moves (signing Fred and Dillon, drafting Amen), I think that he would probably do better than 20 wins. It’s not a fair comparison as Ime entered his job with a team was no longer in tank-mode. Ime does seem overall more professional than Silas, but neither of them is a good head coach that can lead a team to anything. I think that Ime is better in being an assistant coach in charge of defense.
Silas was not a defensive coach.....but if they get Charles Lee or Jordan Ott, that would have been something.
The fact there is a guy who Ime is a better coach than blows my mind but they do exists. How they make it to the NBA level is very interesting.
