I've said it for like 3 years now, using Alperen as a score-first player will never translate into high level winning basketball. Under Ime, he's used to "punish mis-matches" then potentially play-make out of that. The problem is that his efficiency is so awful teams actually want him to go 1 on 1 and will live with the results.
How many 1st round picks could we get from Hornets for Sengun? T. Salaun, Williams, & Mann + picks would work for Sengun
This!!! I've said it for years now after people here started yapping about being the next Joker lol. It's actually insane.
The thing that surprised me about Sengun is that he is usually pretty good against bad teams. He appears inconsistent because he plays well against bad teams that can't guard him, and then he's really bad against guys that guard him really well. If you don't look at it too closely this looks like inconsistency, but he is actually pretty consistent if you take this pattern into account. And because of this I actually expected him to be good against the lakers since they don't really have the kinds of defenders that give him trouble. And somehow he still managed to go out there and embarrass himself. I really expected a lot more. Hopefully this one game was an outlier and he balls out for the rest of the series but man, it's hard to be hopeful about him.
Typical Clutchfans . Everyone on the team sucked balls and it's somehow Sengun's fault? lol, ya'll need to look at the real culprit, the Udicker. When everyone sucks, that's on the coach, because everyone but Tari was awful. Look at this chart. Even Inside the NBA pointed it out at halftime. When are we going to get a real coach that won't post Sengun beyond the three point line every single play? Man, I miss the days of Rick Adelman and D'Antoni. Sure, they were flawed, but they could actually coach. You wouldn't see this anywhere as frequently as you do with the Udicker.
They are playing okogie, Tate. Reed was too inexperienced for the stage. No Kd, no other guard, bari is not a cutting threat. Lakers could easily clog the whole paint. You can’t play Tate, you can’t play okogie that much, combine this with Sengun amen Jabari tari having some sort of deficiency and a coach that offers no solution, you get this ugly result. edit: not saying Sengun had a good game. Amen was the only one who had a decent game imo. But it is mainly coaching + roster construction
But but but he the franchise player already. That what yall say so he better play like it. But seriously, he needs to start attacking from the wings and baseline. His efficiency is garbage when he backs down from the middle of the floor. They’re gonna tenderize his ass all night if he keeps doing that crap.
I'm pretty sure the franchise player already was ATW. The rest of us say he has potential to be a franchise player if he gets it together, as he is still only 23 and was hindered by 2 years of Sil@ss ball. He does need to play better, like everyone else in the team. Too bad Udicker can't coach offense to save his life, and lately the defense part has been very shaky too.
Of course he is a franchise player, but only on a franchise like the Rockets......CFers called Reed Sheppard and Jalen Green franchise players.... that franchise word just got dropped a few tiers.
Yeah, I do not understand. Last year in the play offs he had difficulty with Green, but he played hard. Also sometimes during the regular season he doesn't seem that focussed, but that should not happen in the play offs. I have no idea what he is doing these 2 games. He has been one of the few bright spots these last years, but playing like he is now is really worrying...
