It’s honestly sad to witness your favorite team make terrible decision after another and slowly destroy themself. The Rockets need to pivot and stop looking for shortcuts. We should’ve been building a culture from within instead of chasing quick fixes. The past few years have been a mess, just a toxic environment with no real basketball minds in the building. It’s like they don’t even care about the future, if they did, they never would’ve traded that Nets pick. At least then we’d have another shot at a star. Everybody and they mama knew that pick was in a decent draft. I wouldn’t even be tripping much about this year and the thought of another rebuild if we still had that pick. Make no mistake, they are already ****ed. But if the rockets don’t overhaul their entire front office and basketball ops soon, they’ll be ****ed for the next decade and a half. This type of ****ery take a long time to recover from. I also don’t like how Ime is developing these young players. He did Cam dirty just because he couldn't bully him(sabotage his career), and now he’s doing the same to Sengun and Reed. He’s leaving them on an island, talking down on them to the media, and tanking their value. That’s alone should be on the list of many fireable offenses. Ime has too much control and the players are tired of it, you can tell by the effort that they want him gone. They can’t reach ownership because everybody’s AWOL, so they have no choice but to expose this fraud on a national stage.
I will die on this hill too: had Ime been white, no way he would’ve been so praised as an amazing hire.
Love it, puts everyone where they should be. The sad part about this is seeing the forum become a house of delulus to defend the atrocious work the leadership has done with the rebuild they put us through.
It took the national media a few months, but they're finally catching up to where Rockets fans have been for a while now. There are roster construction issues for sure and some players haven't developed the way we'd hoped, but this all starts with Ime. This team has the personnel to be way better than this offensively. It's not like ISO ball is the only possible way they can play. That's a deliberate choice because we have a lazy, incompetent coaching staff that refused all year long to institute any sort of system. Instead, Ime relies on KD, Alpi, or Amen to go one-on-one in order to generate offense. And nothing will improve if the organization runs it back next season. Ime's only adjustment will be to hand the ball to Fred(assuming he's healthy) and let him run the offense. Because he's a lazy, one-dimensional coach, he'll continue to refuse to institute any actual system, he'll keep playing wing heavy lineups, and he won't even attempt to develop Reed.
This situation with Kevin Durant injury is not just unfortunate—it’s a reflection of everything that has gone wrong with this organization. You have a player who stayed healthy almost the entire season, only to get injured right before the playoffs after being heavily used all year. That is not just bad luck—that is mismanagement. How hard did Ime have them playing in practice? Crazy This team had a full season to make adjustments, yet nothing meaningful was done. When Fred VanVleet went down, there was a clear need for a true point guard. That gap was obvious, yet the front office, led by Rafael Stone, failed to address it. Opportunities were there—even potential trades that could have improved the roster—but they were ignored. At the trade deadline, nothing was done to fix fundamental issues. From a coaching standpoint, Ime Udoka had an entire season to establish an offensive identity, yet there is none. The offense is completely disorganized—no structure, no hierarchy, no clear system. Everyone seems to have a green light, but no one is consistently put in a position to succeed. That is not a strategy—that is chaos. Player development and usage have also been questionable. Young players like Reed Sheppard were not properly integrated or developed throughout the season, only to be thrown into difficult situations without structure. Veterans are misused, rotations are inconsistent, and roles are unclear. Defensively, the identity that this team was supposed to be built on disappears the moment the offense struggles. A team constructed around defense should not collapse so easily on that end of the floor. Even more concerning is the lack of in-game and season-long adjustments. There has been no evolution in scheme, no adaptation, and no evidence of learning from mistakes. At this level, that is unacceptable. At this point, a playoff exit may be necessary—not because of lack of talent, but because accountability is needed. Sometimes failure is the only thing that forces real change. Ownership, led by Tilman Fertitta, must recognize that this is not a personnel issue alone—it is a structural failure from top to bottom. This team has talent, but talent without direction leads nowhere. Until there is a clear system, defined roles, and competent leadership, the results will remain the same.
Hiring a coach with 1 year experience who took his team to the Finals his only year coaching replacing a terrible coach Stephen Silas (who is black) wouldn't get praise because he is white? That's the hill to die on huh?
He became the face of this whole black knight, they are trying to cancel our guy movement. Had a white coach cheated on his wife, we would've gotten a lot of backlash for white washing his sins.
This is correct. There is a narrative that I think Stone and Ime are feeding that this season has been a success because the team has mostly remained the same quality of team since last year(same record, team level advanced metrics are the same or even better) despite losing two "starters" but I think those who watch regularly can see a team really falling behind. It's NOT a success to have a nearly 40 year old injury prone HOFer propping up your team. Seeing him sit out and watching the team be so bad just magnifies the problem we have ALL been calling out the last season. The team wins because KD making what would otherwise be poor quality shots and Stevo is cleaning up offensive rebounds and while that might have been something to build around in their OKC days, at their age now you can't rely on that. If we want to put the ball in the hands of one player to make it all happen, then we mind as well trade for Giannis and give them all our assets. If we are going to go "all in", at least do it with a younger mega-star. Its like we put player development on hold and just gave the keys to the franchise to guys like KD, Steve, Fred, and Okogie - why? Are we trying to build a future contender or are we trying to win now? Its obvious we are failing at trying to do both at the same time and instead are doing the worst of both strategies - wasting time not developing our young players AND trying to play a heliocentric star offense with players now too old to carry a team. ....and let's not forget that something like $55mil in cap space from moves Stone has made in the last year are doing absolutely NOTHING to help this team right now - and its not just one salary, it's many. Fred, Stevo, and DFS have all not panned out and we stubbornly held on to 2nd round picks that could have helped us 'win now' which it appears we are doing by making our offense about KD getting his shots....what a ****ing mess. Burn it all down - let everyone in the world make fun of the Rockets so Fertitta gets a clue and doesn't continue to buy into Stone and Ime's excuses.
Fertitta and son have ALL the power in this organization. It starts and ends with them. They can hire and fire anyone at anytime. Everyone else in the organization are just employees following orders from Fertitta and son.
No lies detected But it won’t change much Tillman will not be selling anytime soon Stone already told us this is not our year Udoka more than likely will be fired early next season because of a poor start and his assistant will be promoted ( white guy with the James harden beard)
Thats how bad Ime is. 52 wins but Bobby feels we suck & our roster is same level OKC talent. Is Reed our SGA too???
Congratulations, you represent the 65 IQ community well.... but that means communication between normal people and you is pointless. Since I know you can't do better, we'll end it here.
Why is the regular season record always your marker of success have yo been living under a rock or just started watching NBA?
