If the Rockets drafted Castle over Reed, they don't make the playoffs this season... and the Spurs with Reed likely win it all.

Castle is very much flash over substance.

Castle is more efficient than Reed (not by a wide margin) even though he's a much worse shooter. A big part of it is his ability to draw fouls.

I've been saying that it's something Reed needs to improve on very much. He needs to (1) improve his handle and (2) toughen up and embrace contact. If he does that, he will increase his scoring average by a lot and raise his efficiency at the same time.

big what if Hawks or Wiz picked up Reed

Who will be Houston's choice if all 3 are available? Zach, Sarr, Castle

That's a whole lot like how Deandre Ayton is technically a more efficient scorer too... when the vast majority of your "shots" are within 3 feet of the rim, you BETTER make them at a high percentage.

You just can't compare those types to real guards.

    RE3D has to go 3rd. It's all apart of what he's about. He's a 3 point specialist.

All the chatter at the time was about Clingan. Who knows if it was true or just smoke though

I love Reed and don't exactly regret that pick, but In retrospect, I would have rather taken Clingan. He's proving to be an elite defensive center who can also shoot the three. He would be a great fit with Amen and make Sengun more expendable, perhaps freeing us to trade Sengun for a young star point guard should one become available (and no, I'm not thinking Ja).

The Reed fit next to Amen is also very good though, to be fair. I guess it gives me a little bit more faith in this front office's drafting that it was apparently going to be either Reed or Clingan (if you believe reports) because both are turning out to be solid, coming out of a weak draft with some guys who are looking very bust-ish picked near the same range.

I agree Clingan would be a very nice player to have on this roster though.

Let's see how they both do in the playoffs.

Do you know how astoundingly ironic it is for you to throw slurs at me for using language correctly? Are we living in Idiocracy or what? Not all of us speak like we're intellectually stunted, braindead knuckle draggers.

Sure whatever you say, talking in an archaic fashion like a bad Agatha Christie villain doesn't make you intelligent, it does make you hilarious though.
