Fertitta and son allow all this to happen. They own the team. They can hire and fire anyone at anytime. It all starts with Fertitta and son. I have no doubt that a Fertitta has to sign off on everything. Fertitta tells his people to “shut up and listen.”

It’s hilarious that there are people out there who look at THIS ROSTER and don’t see his fingerprints all over it.

THIS ROSTER is the most Ime roster of all time. A bunch of mini-Udoka’s who are willing to say “sir yes sir” to any stupid idea he has.

It’s ok the 3 overpaid stooges - Stone, Udoka and FVV - will keep patting each other on the back in front of the owner and the media. Little Ponzi scheme they have going with Tilman’s money.

ime picked the freaking roster. Stone and Ime are both at fault there. Let’s be real about that.

Watch Udoka put Amen in the corner instead.

This is one of the things I noticed - Sengun used to automatically figure out a synergy with almost anyone on the roster. They even had a thing going with Dillon. That’s mostly gone this year except in flashes. It’s incredibly stagnant ball 80% of the time with everyone just hunting their own shot - and I think that’s mostly due to chemistry issues. Reed and Amen had brutal stretches last night where it looked like they got major tunnel vision. The entire group doesn’t look like they want to follow each other’s directions, or aren’t aligned at all on what to run. It seems like everyone is thinking how does this benefit me and my box score rather than running a winning play. They seem to intentionally look each other off at times. The lack of a leader on the court is very visible.

This is before we sign fred, it was either sign harden or sign FVV and Ime picked FVV everyone but Ime wanted harden to be back in Houston and Stone was not willing to go against Ime's wishes since he was the only coach that wanted to come to this dumpster fire organization at the time.

Fertitta backed away from the team after he realized he destroyed and ruined the team and ruined the rockets image league wide, stone, ime and Fertitta's son been running things. And ime has complete control of the roster.. stone needs to grow some balls and force players like harden on ime or tell him he will be replaced and fired with a coach willing to coach and use the best players available to us.

Yes, how has whom’s ear? The length of their contracts are criminal. I think if a shoving match where to happen Stone is odd man out because of Ime’s lengthy contract. Stone has placed himself into this position and will likely regret it in time.

    It is NOT Harden.....

This is a SYSTEMIC failure by the org to undervalue the most important skill in the game - shooting.

The Lakers lose 2 of their best players and pull Kennard off their bench because they VALUE shooting.

Our coach and by proxy our org, value hustle and toughness over shot making......this is what I have been saying for 2 years.......IT IS NOT ****ING ROCKET SCIENCE - it is just basketball and we are led by idiots.

Alpi loses his touch whenever he's not playing a lot it feels like. So we went a week without playing, I wonder if that's why so many of his shots rimmed out. Every time he came back from an injury he'd play like trash then a game or two later he's looking more like himself.

I do think there is one thing in this series that won't be a consistent thing and its Alpi playing like he did last night. I guess we will see though.

Yes, but Harden quit on the same team not even 2 years before. Stone does have a memory.

Rockets lost a major PG and 3-point shooting at the same time with FVV's injury. And management did nothing to replace him with either one of the required skills. Everyone's game is affected by this, including Sengun and Amen, who are doing so much heavy-duty to run plays and are now solely dependent on KD's offense. Turnovers have increased for both players, which we see during crucial plays. I blame it more on management than Ime for this season. I still expect the Rockets to pull off a victory against the Lakers if KD gets back, but 2nd round might be brutal to watch against the Thunder.

Shepherd, Smith and (even your friend) KPJ when they came to us were shooters. Systematic is right but it isn’t player selection. There is not structure for players to develop in. We don’t support the player with staff who are equipped to make a difference long term. We draft teenagers then draft more teenagers to be lead by the smallest coaching staff that is 30 years behind the times. Then get upset when things don’t work as planned.

FVV can't shoot, he isn't even remotely close to the answer, he is worse than Reed in almost everything........it isn't a PG we lack, Kennard type of players are what we lack, catch and shoot 3p shooters.....and our prize offseason signing DFS - is out of the rotation......for ****ING TATE...give him a broken down DFS over Tate 100 out of 100 times.

AMEN, we don't develop players for squat, there is no system for them to learn to get better in, they are all on their own to develop.....I really miss Rick Adelman type of offense.

Harden quitting on the team two years before has nothing to do with why they didn't sign it, it has been said by insider on this site i am pretty sure nook even said it.. harden was homesick(missed houston) and wanted to come back and help develop the young core and stone even was on board bring him back even Fertitta wanted him back, the issue was ime didn't want harden and everyone went with what ime wanted.
