We made zero impactful bullpen additions with a lot of starters going into the year. Your point doesnt even make sense. We didnt know we would lose the starters. Did nothing.
Brother it was already 4-1 after the 3rd inning because of McCullers - the game was “already imploded”. Even if our pen didn’t suck, being down 4-1 in the 6th inning is going to result in your low leverage arms being used.
Our bullpen was good last season. No one could have foreseen Abreu being straight ass. They acquired plenty of arms that were planned to be used as relievers - Weiss, Teng, etc. Blubaugh looked like he had potential and deserved a chance in the pen as well.
Weiss lololol ok broseph The bullpen down the stretch faded mightily after the break. It wasnt the same at all.
He's not this team's main problem, but at this point, I'm in favor of whatever Joe Espada does in order to expedite his departure. No thanks, I won't be expounding on this.
Next series at Cleveland then the Yankees come in. Beyond that it gets even worse. At this rate they could be buried by May.
It's gonna be a long journey to 500 with this team at its current state, and that's IF they reach it -- 2024, it was June 29th. Respect to all fans who suffer the torture again.
Hunter doesn’t need to throw 98-100mph. Keep it in the 95-96 range and ramped it up on a as needed basis
Espada might be managing for his job today. The rope is getting thin. Road trip is the perfect time to bring in an interim manager.
I just tune in for Yordan ABs. Nothing else matters now (except for the better draft pick we can get next year now)
