Everyone wants to talk about the starting pitching. The worse problem is the pen. Like today mccullers gives up 4 but goes 5. Not great but battled kept us in game with a chance. The the crappy pen gives up more immediately putting the game out of reach. Tired of it. This team did nothing to address the bullpen. I know the bullpen wont be perfect but just damn every game they make sure we dont comeback.
both correa and walker keep finding themselves in situation with men on bases and they do jack shiet with it.
4 runs in 5 innings is not good, I don't care if he battlefaught to do it. Even if we had multiple awesome leverage relievers it wouldn't matter if the bullpen is constantly having to cover at least 4 or 5 innings literally every damn night. Our relievers have more innings pitched than our starters this season, it's absurd. Scrubs are gonna see work.
I know what is wrong with Joey and the manager of the Mariners, they do the same every game. Read the back of the baseball cards and find out that every season is different, go ask Mike Trout. Tuve and Trout are around the same age, but Tuve has 700 more hits than Trout. Back to this pathetic season, sit Walker and Paredes, or move them lower in the batting order. Let Abreu pitch 1st, or do something that is not on every manager's playbook like using the same ol batting order.
They give up runs every single game. Your stat is heavily flawed because of 3 early exits early on. I didnt say it 5ip 4 er was good ya doof. Read!!!. I said the bullpen has been a larger problem. Even covering innings they are still pitchibg worse than the starters.

Immediately gave up 3 more to make it 7-1. Its about timing of the runs. Cmon. Try to use the noggin to understand. Gave up 3 making the game out of reach. Read the whole statement. Also the at bats up 7-1 arent the same. Low leverage bullpen innings to tack on at the end arent the same
The bullpen sucks because mediocre guys that should be in AAA are being asked to pitch innings every night to cover the starters. No team in history has had enough good relievers to cover 25 innings a week. Murray, Gordon, Weiss, Roa, France, Munoz....these are at best tolerable starters and awful relievers.
because we didnt address any real bullpen additions, knowing going in josh hader wasnt healthy. Because they are bad is the whole point. THE BULLPEN IS WORSE.
Yep you know baseball, the Astros should have made sure they had a dozen good relievers who they could shuttle back and forth to AAA to make sure we had enough great arms to cover 4-6 innings every night. Hell, why doesn't every team do that, who needs starters.
