That was really wonderful. Too bad the webcam video was so poor, probably due to the hotel internet.

 

Finally watched it. Very cool stuff, well done to all involved. Great to get this kind of content bridging the fan/social and then broadcast media more.

Dare I say some CFs were acting like uncouth ne'er-do-wells when Vanessa was hired. Indubitably.

Glad to see her jiving so well with the broadcast and the team. It was hilarious how cool it was to see TV and blog worlds colliding here. One big Rockets family.

 

Don’t think so. High pixelation and occasional pauses indicate a wifi issue. Video conferencing apps use low-bitrate encoding when they encounter such issues. Even low-budget 720p webcams today are nowhere near that pixelated.

 

Usually, I put on the headphones set the phone aside and just listen. This episode I watched every second.

One thing about Vanessa that some people may not know or remember — she was a daily sports talk radio host for almost two years prior to getting the Rockets/SCHN gig. So, she has a lot more depth than some of the sideline reporters whose background is almost exclusively on-camera interviews for PR purposes. She's more than capable to break stuff down, at length.

 

This is why I appreciate her and the whole Rockets SCHN crew. Even when I don’t agree with Ryan I appreciate his history and perspective. Craig does a good job at handling the game and info as well as interpretation of players & competition for every game. And because of her BBall experience Vanessa doesn’t ask a dumb questions in the in-game interviews.

When I’m forced to watch the “other team’s” broadcast it’s often painfully obvious that this skill isn’t the case for all teams.
