Yikes. Not to mention someone posted a chart in another thread showing how terrible of a shooter he is.
Who would have ever thought playing with an injury affects shooting percentages? They need to sit him out and let him heal the next time he is injured like they finally ended up doing a while back. It does not make sense to want a player to play through an injury while using them the same way and expecting them to be the same player. The back injury affected him both offensively and defensively. It is not a coincidence we started winning much more once they took the time to let him at least partially heal.
It's moments. If you're a poor shooter in general and the game is in a certain ebb and flow, you have to know when to shoot and not to shoot. Alpi shot recognition during times are questionable especially a 3. I think playing this past summer took alot out of him and he hit a wall in the after the all star break, a big wall
Alpi needs to start spreading some of that Turkish money around to his teammates and get them some bit roles in his commercials.
You mean he played on a bad back and sprained ankle.. he was wide open how is that a questionable shot. You act like he was shooting step back fadeaway threes with 22 seconds on the clock.
How is it a questionable shot? Because he’s not a good shooter and the game was tight. GSW had cut 5 points of off our 15 pt lead and right after that miss they hit a 3. everyone who knows anything about basketball agrees that was a bad shot. Being open doesn’t make it a good shot. Shaq and Dwight were always open on the perimeter. Reggie on the broadcast explained why it’s a bad shot. When you’re getting what you want on a rookie, you don’t waste possession on a 3. Taking a 3 isn’t the issue really. It was him holding the ball several seconds looking around, dribbling in place, then throwing up an “open 3.” They’re leaving you open for a reason.
What the heck does Reggie know long time rockets hater. He doesn’t watch us play. Sengun was hot from three going into that game. Shot 50% basically for last few games before then he gets benched. Look what happened versus Minnesota he didn’t even attempt one. You can’t have it both ways. You either let him shoot and learn from his mistakes or you don’t want him shoot at all. Killing a players confidence is absolutely not the right approach.
Because it was a stupid shot he got baited into taking. That on top of the horrible 4th quarter defense
Horrible 4th quarter offense? The rockets built a 14 point lead with KD on the bench. Then he came back we benched sengun and it went right back turnover city. There is no NBA anymore where a wide open three is a bad shot. I’m sorry stop living in the past.
