assuming Biden was still pushed out by Obama, Pelosi, and others, and if Whitmer had been vp, I'm pretty confident Whitmer would have beaten Trump in 2024

A non-exhaustive list of countries that had a change in government in or around 2024 after COVID:
    • United States: Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump; GOP Took over the Senate
    • United Kingdom: conservatives lost control for the first time in a decade
    • South Africa: African National Congress lost it's parliamentary majority for the first time ever
    • Japan: The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) lost its majority
    • India: Modi's ruling party lost its parliamentary majority
Anti-incumbency was the name of the game all over the world. I don't think any Democrat would've won with the same deck of cards.

Sounds like a serious case of inarticulate certainty

Kamala was a decent VP and drew some bad cards with the way Biden dropped it all on her, but she was also a bit too cautious in her campaigning and listened to the consultant folks too much. She joins a long list of nominees who should not run again. On the Democratic side, the only recent losing candidate who I think might have stood a chance to reclaim the nomination a second time was Al Gore. In other words, Kamala shouldn't run. Right now, she's secure in our history as a VP and presidential nominee. It would be embarrassing for her to end a 2028 campaign in March or April, which is very much a possibility.

Now, if we find out that the 2024 election was not on the up-and-up (unlikely), that could change things.

Kamala was in a tough spot, she had to rush everything, deal with Joe being upset and then dealing with too many consultants. I commend her effort, but now that we have time to "choose" the next nominee I would not want her, she had a great run as VP and her legacy is set..............ride off into the sunset

No female VP would have beaten Trump. Although she would have probably been a better candidate than Harris, she still would have had the stink of inflation and the border on her having been part of the administration.

    false equivalency.

    • harris is a lawyer, Palin is not
    • harris can easily name the magazines / newspapers / books he reads, Palin can't
    • harris grew up in Calif/Toronto/India/DC,
      • Palin grew up in Alaska, where she claimed she can see Russia from her backyard
    • harris knows where Russia is, no for Palin
    • Harris quit her elected office, before the term expires, to become Biden's VP
      • Palin quit her elected office, before the term expires, to do nothing.

“I’m confident Whitmer would have been able to withstand our onslaught of propaganda better than Harris did. This proves that it’s really the Dems that are responsible for Trump winning.”

Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin said "I can see Russia from my house." Sarah Palin said there are parts of Alaska from which you can see Russia (which is true). She had plenty of other problems, but that was just people attributing an SNL skit to the actual candidate.

Kamala Harris was/is not nearly as bad of a candidate as maga trolls will try for years to gaslight democrats into believing.

Yes she had issues such as being too cautious and not letting her personality out enough, and we all know she had a cackle… but this is just splitting hairs compared to the choice of voting for Trump who literally has some evangelical maga supporters this week wondering if they voted for the AntiChrist.

Kamala would have had competent officials around here and made popular moderate liberal policies without upsetting the business community. We sure as hell wouldn’t be at war in Iran and I think there was a path with her to reign in Israel. We also would have continued the Biden infrastructure investment which would have led to energy independence with a diversified energy infrastructure.

    Yes.. Democrats have better politicians.

However do not think for 2 seconds that hacks like SpaceGhost won’t do the same thing with any other democrat in 28 and try to manipulate you into thinking that you are stupid for voting for that person as if they are uniquely terrible.

Your vote for Kamala in 24 was the right decision. People like SpaceGhost are obsessed creeps who get off on trolling you and thinking they have power to manipulate and gaslight you. Don’t fall for it.

No vote for Kamala was right. Trump has been bad but she would have been worse. That's saying a lot
