I’ve never thought much of him either, but he seems to be a key part of the Hawks’ resurgence, so he’s likely staying out there.

Let's see how FVV comes back from injury cause this conversation may be moot if he's a shell of himself.

Assuming he's at least as good as 2 years ago, it's safe to say there is no perfect team. You go to battle with what you've got. If the Rockets can win 2 championships with Kenny "The Jet" Smith, anything is possible. I could envision a world with FVV/Reed at PG assuming KD, Alp, Amen, and Jabari are playing at a high level. ...and that world seems attainable.

But yes, the Rockets need to figure out the post FVV plan cause that will happen very soon or soon thereafter.

I'm also someone who does believe Reed will get there, but I think he's going to take a few more years to become a true starting point, probably actually a much better shooting version of a FVV type if he can get the defensive craftiness. I do think we're going to need a bridge player between them though. Let's hope Fred does come back solid though, because it'd mean less urgency to replace him, though I'm worried he will be just a shell just because it'd be just our luck tbh.

    This.

And the thing is, people talk about adding another guard that can shoot...Ime went some nights this year barely playing 1 guard that can shoot.

With Fred coming back next year, that's another player that will be in the rotation....likely getting (too many) heavy minutes.

Adams will likely be back too since apparently just adding those to guys would have altered the course of this season.

What's the rotation look like? Who's getting shipped out? Who's not playing?

Keep in mind who the head coach is and the types of players he leans towards.

This team is likely to add MORE players who aren't great shooters, ball handlers, playmakers but can defend and rebound than they are to add guys who can shoot that will actually see rotation minutes.

One would hope getting spanked by playoff Bronny may show them the redundancies in the amount of duplicate skillsets we've got in the roster, and inspire them to expand our range if you pardon the pun lol.

I’d try to heist someone on a JSJ trade.
Get shorter and faster, more skill.

Id try letting our hall of fame power forward who was the power forward on arguably the best 5 man lineup of all time play power forward.

Coach and GM can repent and admit the error of their ways without outdated views on ball or they can take a hike.

Negotiate hard on Amen and Tari, and lock em up long term. Add some more solid perimeter defenders with FVV and the Jabari trade piece so they can get back to ball hawking and defensive play making.

Bring the fun back to Senguns game. I want to see him whispering to the ball at the top of the key before he rips a one legged flamingo 3 next preseason.

Reed can keep doing what he’s doing, fill it up off the bench. There’s no rush, no start or die situation.

Lets start calling the young guys vets and fill our deep bench with basketball players instead of personality hires.

Fred does not have the right to refuse a trade after the end of this season, not that the Rockets will trade him anyway.

He doesn't have a real no trade clause, it's something to do with his bird rights so once he's on next years contract it no longer applies and we can trade him, is the general gist of it I believe.
