Nothing has gone through the US blockade. Those ships are at anchor. Unless that website everyone uses for tracking ships is wrong for me, those ships haven’t moved for hours.

Now that they’ve stooped at the US blockade, the question is what will China do? Are we facing a showdown?

Apparently some things have. But even though they're sanctioned they're exempt from the blockade due to their destination not being Iran.

Sadly I can not rule this out.

Kash Patel leads the FBI. Tulsi Gabbard is DNI. Pam Bondi was AG. etc.

I feel like we're reaching a inflection point in the war. With Iran stopping traffic for the GCC and US stopping Iranian traffic, US and Iran will have to decide whether they can both accept a peace deal that is tolerable even if not ideal.

    According to this: https://www.thenationalnews.com/bus...a-day-as-us-blockade-ends-9-billion-windfall/

Iran has 190 million barrels of oil, about 3 months worth of export, floating out in the sea waiting to be delivered to China. The article also say that Iranian oil sale is usually settled on 2 month terms. So Iran's income will fall to nearly zero in about 5 months. So Iran is on a ticking time bomb, but can the rest of the world endure 5 months more of shortages?

The wildcard is here is Israel. What Israel will agree to and what the US find acceptable might be drastically different.

Rich Starry in that report is currently at anchor. Al Jazeera could have just checked the MarineTraffic website. In GARM, terms, it’s like posting a false FG% for Sengun from a Turkish source, and not checking available player stats sites to confirm

The other ones in the article were going in, not out, right?

Wasn't just AJ reporting it, I think the confusion here stems from the fact the US blockade is not in the Strait itself, but the Gulf. In addition to the fact coming vs. going is a meaningful distinction.

I now it wasn’t just them. I’ve been following Rich Starry and Elpis like many others, since they cleared Iran’s blockade. Who knows why reports are conflating Iran’s blockade with ours.

the only things that matters is if they get passed our blockade, and also what China will do.

It’s poor reporting from many ppl.

Was the Strait of Hormuz open before we attacked Iran?

If the Iranian people have been liberated by Donald Trump, why aren't they opening up the Strait?

It seems to me that we are in a worse position in the region and domestically than we were before we attacked them.

Gas prices are higher -- the Iranians have a younger Ayatollah that them seem to be galvanizing around ...... we lost some lives.... we have spent billions of dollars..... and we are now increasing the percentage of military budget to the highest in world history.... we also have lost the currency in the region.

Explain to me how we aren't in the red with this whole debacle.

The Iranians are getting a LOT of pressure from the CCP to open up the Strait. Indeed, the only reason that they even agreed to a cease fire was from the CCP telling them to.

This whole situation has a massive long term geopolitical footprint for at least the next 50 years. Whomever controls that area of the world, from currency, to influence - will have a massive headstart in controlling the world militarily and economically. China "needs it" more than the USA does, but the USA wants it and knows that controlling it is one of the best ways to limit Chinese influence.

Missed in the oil conversation is the differences between light, medium, and heavy crude oil. We export light crude oil because much of our refining equipment (like 70%) only processes heavy crude oil. That's why we are reliant on heavy crude oil imports. It's why we have this circular oil thing going on where we export light crude and import heavy crude. People ask why we don't just consume our own oil. It's because we can't. Also, light crude oil can be blended with heavy crude oil to formulate a medium blend oil that can be used in refining equipment that has medium-to-heavy refining capability. While our exports of light crude are definitely up because of the war, it doesn't replace the 20% shortfall in heavy crude oil that is no longer moving through the Strait. Some countries are better equipped to deal with light crude oil. Many aren't.

Trump's congressional majority definitely cannot endure 5 months of inflated oil prices. Forget the House, he'd probably lose the Senate.

Back in 2015, Secret service let us in to the wrong entrance to the white house so we were walking around non-public areas on the grounds until another agent working spotted us and accused us of jumping a fence. Mind you I was with my sons who were 5 & 8 plus my pregnant wife, making it highly unlikely we jumped a fence. We were escorted out, but we had probably been out there for around 10 minutes. I lost a lot of confidence in the secret service that day.

Theres zero evidence that China pressured the Iranians into a ceasefire bcz of the strait of hormuz. Chinese oil imports were up in the month of March and reporting shows China only asked the Iranians into a ceasefire cuz they thought it bought goodwill with the Trump regime for when they want to invade Taiwan.

Iran was charging safe passageway in the Chinese yuan which helps prop up their currency as they run massive deficits. China isn't having supply issues I have no idea where yall get this information from
