A couple of test cases of the US blockade happening right now

    Tanker Elpis
    https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:6295238
Comoros flagged shadow fleet tanker stopped at Iranian Port on route to China.
Made it through the strait of Hormuz but came to a stop in Gulf of Oman. Maybe stopped by USN due to the blockade?

    Tanker Rich Starry
    https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ai...mmsi:655150434/imo:9773301/vessel:RICH_STARRY
Malawi flagged shadow fleet tanker that stopped at the UAE on route to China. AIS broadcast says 'China Owner and Crew'.
Also made it through the SoH and still moving, about 100km behind Elpis.

If the idea is to have China pressure Iran due to oil shortage, the blockade will have to block both ships. Though technically Rich Starry should have free passage based on the criteria CentCom laid out.

Amazing chess move by Trump has proven the incompetence of the bureaucrats that have infested DC for decades while also exposing the ignorance of the Iranian mullahs who tried to play hardball with a top tier negotiator. Trump’s blockade is one of the smartest moves in foreign relations history. Excellent description below.

    GOOD DAY

Well Donny... we have to close it more for it to then open. This is complicated stuff. Something only the smartest people can understand like me. You have to blockade the blockade. Then we'll get a deal. A deal like nobody's ever seen. People are saying it'll be the greatest deal of all time. A deal like nobody has ever seen before.

Have I mentioned that nobody has ever seen a deal like this before??

Yeah I agree, and China is mass producing robots.

No hazardous duty pay, vacation, long term disability or death benefits, unlike the cost of real soldiers.

Oh, and those robots will be replacing workers in factories too. Just think, no health insurance, lunch breaks, overtime or paid vacation needed.

This is simultaneously illustrative of the fact that we are still thinking about/planning our actions on past wars, and frighteningly, places us on a terminator timeline.

Ukrainian forces have, for the first time since the start of the full-scale war, captured a Russian position using only drones and unmanned ground robotic systems (UGVs). According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian troops surrendered without any involvement of Ukrainian infantry.
    https://euromaidanpress.com/2026/04...ussian-position-using-only-drones-and-robots/

(This is likely the first time in history that soldiers surrendered to robots.)

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian ground robots have performed over 22,000 missions during the last three months and have a range of up to 50 km. 90% of last mile logistics to the front are now handled by robots. The loss rate for the robots is 25%, but zero Ukrainians. Ukraine drone builds are increasing in number and they have been able to keep a constant swarm over enemy positions in recent weeks, killing thousands of Russians.

This is modern warfare. Meanwhile, we're over here financing the romanticized billion-dollar equivalent of blimps and cannons while everyone else has robots.

Oil tanker Rich Starry is owned by Shanghai Xuanrun Shipping Co Ltd. and became a target for US sanctions because it was used to transport Iranian crude.

Rich Starry is a medium-range tanker that is carrying about 250,000 barrels of methanol, according to the data. It loaded the cargo at its last port of call, the UAE's Hamriyah, the data showed.

China defies Trump: Chinese tanker travels through Strait of Hormuz after Beijing declares US blockade 'dangerous and irresponsible'

A Chinese tanker under US sanctions, Rich Starry, passed though the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, defying Washington's naval blockade that began on Monday.

After circling the area late on Monday and initially turning back, the 600ft long vessel passed through the waterway on Tuesday.

Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the US navy would block 'any and all ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz', adding on Monday that the US would blockade ships 'entering or exiting Iranian ports'.

Meanwhile, China said on Tuesday that a US blockade around Iranian ports was 'dangerous and irresponsible', after the US President threatened to sink any boats that sought to leave or dock there.

'The US increased military operations and took a targeted blockade action, which will only exacerbate tensions and undermine the already fragile ceasefire agreement and further jeopardise safety of passage thr

Unmanned... ok, but I assume those are controlled remotely. Autonomous killer machines should be banned.

Number of ships that have passed through Iran's blockade without permission: 0

Number of ships that have passed through the US blockade without permission: 1

I'm not great at math but I think this is bad for us guys.

the Elpis and Rich Starry at anchor. They stopped, for several hours now. You can watch real-time data, rather than relying upon posts. See the links provided for MarineTraffic.com in post above.

Now that they’ve stooped at the US blockade, the question is what will China do? Are we facing a showdown?

    Well...

Trump supporters yesterday are arguing that Trump is benefiting the top at the expense of the US

They’re basically claiming this was his chess move: he started the war, at the cost of US blood and resources, to drive higher gas prices and increase US oil and gas exports, meaning more money for the billionaire class. In other words, they’re saying he’s using the country’s resources and lives to benefit the oil and gas industry.

So the master plan all along was to hurt your own country to help the billionaire class. Brillant and is in line with his other policies. They should keep making that argument.
