How many games in a row do we have to lose before it’s a serious consideration for the Astros to fire Espada? I wanted him gone after last year. But I’m asking realistically, how bad does this have to get before they stop blaming injuries and fire him?
I want Espada to have to go down with the ship. Make him answer the questions every day. Then after the draft when there is something to be excited about you fire him.
What if the Astros are like 8-24 by the end of the month? Does he still get to June? Why does this unproven clown have such a long leash???
I got roasted/downvoted to **** on the Astros reddit a couple years back when I said it was stupid to basically NOT give Dusty Baker at least ONE more season as manager, after he was within ONE game of another World Series appearance. But no, Dusty got ran off by the fans despite being close to another World Series. Now look at us.
Altuve and Correa love him. That carries some weight. Plus it just really does no good to fire somebody that early.
As long as they continue to have a long list of players on the IL Joe will continue to be the manager They may replace him in the offseason regardless of what happens, but I don't see them changing in season unless there is a full roster for a replacement to work with during his 1st season or audition.
Well that’s just ****ing stupid. Especially when Omar Lopez is ready to step in at any time. Anyone that actually watches the team and doesn’t just check the IL knows that Espada has been an issue since he took over.
