I can't imagine how much it would suck to be a position player on this team, knowing that no matter what you do, you're going to lose because of how bad the pitching is. It has to be demoralizing. It would be hard for me not to be resentful.

Actually, this is what our top brass thought would still sell tickets. The decline is apparent and they had no thoughts of improving the roster to get us back into the playoffs. This is why they need to rebuild because they are quietly already doing so without saying it out loud.
