I no longer share my opinions. I just use Socratic questioning to walk them into contradicting themselves. Once they do that, they usually just say something dumb like “what would you know, you probably voted for Kamala”.

Yeah I do that to and the get out of jail free card (for ignorant opinions) is when they say “well I don’t really follow politics or government” for which I say something along the lines of “I don’t understand why the people who say they don’t understand government or politics then have the strongest opinions about it.”

It would be like me getting in the cockpit of the Artemis, telling the astronauts that they are stupid for not hitting the thrusters while in orbit, them explaining physics to me, and me saying “well I don’t really follow Astro physics.” Like you wouldn’t take strong opinions on the Artemis when your life is on the line, but you feel more than comfortable taking strong opinions on US government policy which you say you don’t follow or know much about when far more lives are on the line.

When I’ve said that after they run themselves into a wall using that method often times they using kind of scoff but I have actually had it happen once or twice where they say “well yeah maybe I shouldn’t” and one time I can recall this one friend of ours say “look I know I’m probably wrong on the facts but it’s just how I WANT to feel.” She then said “I don’t know why I hate Kamala but I just do.”

That’s pretty much debating MAGA in a nutshell in my experience. It’s about cultural identity and how they WANT to feel about things vs making judgements based on facts and rationale. There’s an entitlement to hold strong opinions while thinking you can always claim ignorance to excuse dangerous factual inaccuracies.

Democratic leadership is soooo bad at messaging and actually leading an opposition. Just look at this excerpt from an email fundraising spam that passes for a message from the highest ranking Dem in the House.

The first one is just terrible. Bondi was fired, but not because of any input from Democrats. And now he's saying we are just going to sit around and rely on Trump to fire Hegseth? No. Tell me why Hegseth should be fired. Most Americans may have a sense Hegseth is a waste, but don't pay attention to details. Give them some. Then take the agency away from Trump and call for Hegseth's impeachment on Day 1 of Democratic control of Congress. This is just weak sauce.

The second one is almost worse. The first sentence is mush. Pick a thing and hammer Trump over it. Instead, we get four issues covered across two simple sentences. Yes, those of us who pay attention to the news get it, but that's not the majority of Americans. Speak to them. It's not enough to whip votes. You don't get a lot of credit for having Democrats votes against insane laws. Show us some opposition and most importantly, show us a plan. This notion that you just stand back and let Trump dig himself a hole has gotten the country into war crimes territory.

And if one of those SC losers retires between now and the time the new Congress is elected, there better not be anything but scorched earth using every tool, even ones that haven't been used in modern times, to prevent a quick confirmation.

Yep. AND THEY HATE EVERY DEMOCRAT WHO IS GOOD AT MESSAGING
Democrats fight more in their own Party than anywhere else
The MOST EFFECTIVE Democrats . . . .are stabbed in the back.

The Right has made the Democratic leadership their b****es

Its just a lack of leadership really more than anything. Schumer is a Senate legislator, and behind the scenes strategist (and not a great one at that). Jefferies doesn't have the experience, and as a messenger he's a good Congressman, but does not go viral on mediums that low information voters will ever see so his influence is minimal.

People need to stop really looking to Congressional Democrats as leadership that they can fall behind. In general I would say outside figures like John Stewart are probably more influential in messaging than any Congressional member.

Now when finally some figures start emerging to say they are running for president, then I think you'll see more streamlined messaging. Back when Obama was around, there was leadership that could help stream line messaging and consensus positions. In a WIDE coalition party, you really need leadership to bring everyone under that big tent and right now there just is a huge void in leadership more than anything. There is good talent, principles, and vision for the country there.... it's just a scattered mess with no mechanism for outreach.

However that actually could work out in 2026 where candidates can run almost as independents that speak to THEIR DISTRICTS directly, and don't have to be tied down with too much baggage from DC. Candidates like Talarico can run a "DC Sucks" campaign and do much better than if he was a Senate Dem candidate in 2011 that would be married to Obama policy and personality.

Why does the Blade movie correlate to the Democrat party?
We were promised by the woke establishment who are big time supporters of the democrats like Disney a new a Blade movie in 2019
It’s been 7 years and it’s been canceled

this is just like that 100 billion rail way that newsom promised
Or the free buses Mandami promised

    They are just liars
And they don’t know know how to anything
There are already lots of Blade stories and Blade is black already
The scripts that democrats wanted was some gay lesbian daughter being the hero

    nah breh

Could the Democrats possibly find someone so pathetically more challenged from a charisma point of view to lead the Hous? . I almost feel sorry for the guy. I assume he must have some sort of talent that is not obvious.
