No, Princeton is our split action out of Point alignment. We run it it with both Sengun (and Adams :(). One of our Horns plays has similar look and effect. You’ll see our Princeton convert to weakside 2-man, DHO too, when the split actions gets snuffed.

Do we run it well? Mixed reviews on that. But I think it does give us a lens into what they’re practicing. Other prominent modern NBA features we clearly practice are 21, Delay, Horns, Zoom, Away, and like 4-5 ways to get into PnR, incl Spain, inverted PnR, Wedge, and I count rolling out of DHO, too. Not enough Exit stuff for me, though.

That said, Ime is on record saying he prefers not to call out actions all the time, he wants to players to flow into actions on their own. And what’s noticeable to me is how often players show visible confusion.

We also clearly want Amen probing early, it’s often our easiest shots bc defense set a wall in front of him like Giannis, and he hits the trailers.

the rockets do not run any variation of the princeton.

That's like saying they're similar because they both use a ball and a hoop

We absolutely run Princeton Point, every game, multiple times.

I know it’s comforting to say we have one major flaw (ie the Coach) and so can fix whatever easily. But the fact is, we clearly run what our comforting thoughts want to say we don’t, meaning can the players actually execute at a high-level what we dream another coach will try, again.

That said, what another Coach could do is spend more % of his available practice time to hone offensive execution. But, Durant continues to demonstrate he doesn’t really care.

his confidence looks shot from getting yanked and no consistent minutes. i'm seeing hesitancy in his movements again.

You can’t get a ****ing rhythm if you’re coming in random times

granted it’s his job to put a ball through a hoop, but gotta put guys in the best position to hep the team

Ime is destroying another young player’s confidence. The front office has to do something, they’ve been trying to get Ime to play him. But Ime would rather sabotage the kid’s career instead of admitting he was wrong for not playing him earlier. Fire this dude, he thinks he’s bigger than the program because these idiots empowered him

    Pathetic, on both ends.

Ime doing what he can to sap a young players confidence and Reed responding with an absolutely trash effort defensively. Maybe his worst game since the embarrassing opening night game.

We may as well trade him this off-season because whatever he may be it won't happen under Udoka, if he can ever be anything at all. I don't like when players mentality is shaken this easily.

We're gonna be stuck with black Tom Thibadeaux for a while.

Thing is it’s reeds career and he’s been a consummate professional about it thus far.

he was jawing at Udoka before got pulled. Says a lot.

the targeting of Reed and Senguon hasn’t yielded Udoka positive results thus far. He’s not pop or Pj

Reed and Sengun are AWFUL when they play together, so one of them has to come off the bench. It shows how poorly built the team is when we have people crying constantly for an undersized combo guard with a streaky shot. I swear every other guard looks awesome compared to Reed, the corpse of Mike Conley cooked him

Take a deep breath. If you’re finding every little excuse to further an agenda maybe you need to take a step back. It sounds incredibly stupid.

I have also heard Ime is making a deliberate decision to stagger the minutes between Sengun and Reed as much as possible so they are not on the court together at the same time as the defence with both on the court is trash.

but how bad could it be as a net overall if we have won more games with Reed starting than we have lost.

looks like Reeds minutes will disappear come playoffs and he will be getting garbage minutes.

Looking at Reed’s stats here at the end of the regular season, I see a major improvement in almost every category from year one to year two. I blame Ime for this. Uh, I mean if not for Ime. Well you know what I’m saying. Go Rockets.

Oh are we trying to give Ime credit for finally giving him the minutes he should have had his rookie season... in a year with no valid PG where he should have had a lot more minutes?

Seriously, Ime is a master conman. He can actively harm the team and people still defend him.

imagine if Fred was healthy. I bet Reed would have been assigned to the G-League multiple times and we'd be talking about a bust instead potentially 6MoTY
