So if Nuggets win OR Lakers lose we will play Lakers first round, correct? And if Lakers win AND Nuggets lose we will play Nuggets first round, correct? Or am I wrong?
Feel like the Rockets should beat the Lakers. Even though the same record as last season, I felt like last year's team was slightly better. That could just be because December through most of March was rough. Just feels like this team peaked in October and November.
It ain't Reed, Ime doesn't like him or value offense. We will struggle until Reed comes in to score the ball. DD
Idk why Udoka doesn’t let Reed just ball. Udoka literally has a mini Curry in the making but just doesn’t care.
Speaking of playoffs, I was curious would the 98' Rockets, who were leading the Jazz 2-1 in their first round series, would have won against Utah had Barkley not gone down with that injury in Game 4?
Maybe. The Big Three were all in significant decline at that point. But we should have won it all in '97. And '18.
Yes, I agree 2018 was a missed opportunity, they should have won it then but 97' i doubt they would have beaten Jordan and the Bulls. 98' they were old i agree, and even if they got through the Jazz in Round 1, they would have met a young Duncan and the Spurs, and later Shaq, young Kobe and the Lakers. Tough task when the team was old and injury prone.
1997 squad absolutely would have beaten the Bulls, the matchups were heavily in favor of the Rockets and Barkley was playing like a man possessed. And the NBA wanted it, they certainly didn't want the ****ing small-market Jazz in the Finals (two years in a row). But this was before the NBA started fixing games, which started with the Shaq/Kobe Lakers.
Well they couldn't get past the Jazz so its hard to say definitely that they would have defeated the Bulls. Bulls never lost in the finals so its hard to say. But i agree Barkey and Olajuwon would have given them fits, perhaps it goes to 7 but the Bulls had homecourt.
