That first inning was the ugliest start I've ever seen. Man, between Imai walking almost everybody, guys scoring on wild pitches, and hitting a batter it was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I was so excited about Imai's last game too. Ugh

Let’s put Espada and Dana on the IL for torture to the fan base. If this year is a flop they both need to go. Take the pitching coach too.

Kinda blame Espada for leaving both Weiss and France in one inning too long. I know he was just trying to buy outs/innings, but those two innings (5th and 7th) ended up being the difference.

Starting pitching has to start giving them some length.

You don't get the luxury of only pitching your long relievers 1 or 2 innings when you need your bullpen to cover 9 innings on the 1st of 13 straight days of baseball. There's nothing to blame Espada for here.

At this point they're probably gonna have open pitching try outs at daikan or what? Geeze what a mess.

At this point you just gotta choose not to give a **** about this season. The Astros set the injury record last year and are gonna set it again this year.

Season is over. It’s easy to accept. Like being behind 10-1 in the 9th. Wave the white flag…..

That could explain why he looked like a completely different pitcher from the previous game. Man, we sure have had bad luck with our pitchers.

^^^ It either explains or makes a convenient excuse.

Astros now have 3 starters who couldn't reach 10 IP or 3 GP. This isn't June. It's TWO weeks into the season. Astros "spin rate" and/or whatever strategy seems to be a recipe for DNP.

And that doesn't include Lance, who's likely to get injured at some point.

Red Sox series might be the high point of the entire season. Who would've thought it would be all downhill from there?
