It's not even worth arguing with these bad faithers. The Rockets are 12-9 when Reed plays 30 mpg - basically when playing starters minutes. That's fine but it puts the lie to the stat that @DaDakota is pushing that the Rockets are an elite team when Reed plays starter minutes - they're not. The refusal to grapple with the fact that there are readily available splits that show this hypothesis (reed as a starter is easily better!) is dubious are instantaneously available on bbref, NBa.com, statmuse etc is a tell - which is why a laborious accounting of each & every game followed by some subjective "nanny boo boo" qualifiers is the best that can be said
Lol, this assumption that "you wouldn't say it to my face" is pure nonsense. You're doing the exact same bullshit trying to act hard online. Like people never grew up in the hood fighting or some ****, don't assume everyone on the internet is some forum nerd because your tough talk sounds paper-thin and like somebody trying their hardest to sound like a badass. Most hard people don't do cheesy lines, they headbutt you then stamp on your face.
16-4 when Reed starts is just the truth. Reed sets the tone for the team with his movement and passing it is contagious. Minutes matter, but so does getting off to a good start - there is zero chance that any of you Ime is not a fraud guys can convince anyone that he is a good coach when we are 5-10 in close games have a **** OT record, and we are easily beaten by just pressuring KD at the top. Reed is the answer to almost everything wrong with this team, he makes everyone better, no one else on the team does that. You can stop calling me out Sam, I was out with friends and didn't even watch the game, going to do that now......but I can tell you we won't win if Reed is not utilized correctly. DD
Yeah, our offense looks better with the Reed lineup than it did without but it’s not a viable option defensively and athletically versus any decent team. Take Sengun, Reed, Jabari, KD, + any random role player from our competition. Have them race up the court and back Have them run out and post routes and catch a ball. Throw a ball in a random direction and see who gets it. The random role player wins. It’s way too slow and weak athletically as a collective, you can see it play out on the court.
So is the truth that the Rockets are undefeated when Dorian Finney Smith starts. Tell me why I shouldn't treat this data point the same way? I don't honestly care that you think Reed should start, maybe he should. I don't really care who starts as it's irrelevant to who finishes. I do absolutely blame you for the fact that people were trying to explain away the fact that Reed - who absolutely sucked ass in the 4th period missing all of his 3s, committing TOs, getting smoked on D- by mindlessly repeating your silly cherry picked saying - as if it had any bearing at all. I don't really care that you guys are Reed fanboys I just won't stand for Trumpyknow -nothing data abuse. - "yes the strait of Hormuz is closed, but look how much eggs have gone down" - how bout shut up? Lol.
When Reed doesn't start, he usually doesn't finish either - if you want to dig into that deeper, feel free. The real issue is the lack of 3pt shooting....we don't take enough 3s......Reed is part of that answer too. DD
^this guy fisher still doesn’t understand what a sample size is using an N=1 vs a quarter of a season as a meaningful comparison stop arguing with this loser. He’s always debated in bad faith
Already did. This is not really correct at all. Of Reed's 10 best games this year, using game score as metric, 6 of them came off the bench Of Reeds worst games this year many of them came when he started or played heavy minutes (losses to Sacramento, San Antonio, Chicago). Frankly the Chicago game is a good example of starting not meaning jack ****. The Rockets 5 starters - including Reed Sheppard - came out flat and terrible against a tanking team in a game that will cost them 1-2 playoff seeds. Seems bad! All this stuff is available, feel free to see for yourself https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/sheppre01/splits/2026
Do you genuinely believe 1 game that DFS started should be treated the same as the 19 Reed has started? Hilarious you want to discount the teams Reed started against when the game DFS did was the Pelicans.
You must have multiple accounts and like your own posts, you are the one calling people names on an internet forum for having a different opinion. I'm just trying to keep it cordial and it's not tough talk, I just highly doubt you would have made it through life talking like that in person because it isn't normal human behavior for those who participate in society. Bringing up hypotheticals about what happens in the hood is irrelevant because this ain't that and you're not that guy.
You must be apart of the cluelessness if you attribute wins in a basketball game to only who starts the game and assigning them a win-loss record while ignoring all statistical data that shows the team performs worse we him in the lineup. The irony.
Reed was -10 with 6 points in 20 minutes in his start and win vs the Pelicans. While they suck as a team, they have too many individual scorers that Reed can’t guard: Murray, Poole, Murphy, Bey, Zion, Fears, etc. the matchups are rough for him vs the Pelicans.
Yes, I do believe this. Why should I not believe it? I want you to explain to me why I should not believe it. Explain it in detail. Not nearly as hilarous as thinking "Team W/L outcome when a player is introduced by the announcer" is a meaningful stat at all, not subject to any noise or variance, when discussing an individual player's performance or contribution, let alone the only one worth mentioning. Anyway I await your explanation above.
What's hilarious is people act like you are the dumb one for pointing it out. I can see how charlatans are able to scam the whole world in their face when this is their level of reasoning.
Dude ..your dumbass spent a decade arguing that the best strategy forward was 0 midrange shots. Funny how the current offense doesn't seem to phase you. Stop using words like variance...you have zero understanding of statistics. Change your name to N= 1 and go back to stalking DD in your free time
It was laid out for you pretty clearly, you just chose to ignore it and throw out objective findings based on your fee fees, kind of like you getting upset at me. It has been posted ad nauseum in here. Look up the tenants of statistics, you seem to be ignoring the first rule. We don't collect statistics or apply math to justify why reality is flawed. Everything is in an attempt to quantify the world around us and present rational explanations for why x, y, and z occur. As part of your HW assignment look up any peer reviewed study and see why they don't apply stats like you are right now. You are remedial brother Your jerking off a dude trying to come to a conclusion off an N = 1 assessment and comparing it to a 1/4 season aggregate. It doesn't get dumber than that
When Reed plays 30+ minutes, he’s playing against starters because one of our best players is injured, in literally every single sample. This context is extremely important, and affects every single stat, including yours and every 5 man lineup per minute stat this season. You can check as may sites as you want, but if you don’t understand the context around the stats, you’re arguably worse than DD. He might be wrong, but he doesn’t use misleading stats he doesn’t understand to defend himself.
Actually the whole reason why this thread is even active at all is that when the Rockets needed Reed to deliver last night, he didn't. - but instead of facing up to that this is what the Reed fanboys want to talk about - not last night's game but how much his starting impacted some random games from months ago F Sudoka but also F Reed if he's gonna play like crap (which he did last night)
Because statistical significance matters. What a weird hill for you to die on lol. You’re alluding to DFS starting equating to winning 100% of games which you know is false. Genuinely, why create such a dishonest discourse? There’s a real difference between a data set with 20 data points vs 1.
