I know it's subjective. I don't see a lot of picking up dribble in recent weeks. Next game let's just count how many times. My impression is that it's no more than 1 or 2 times a game.

So I wouldn't say it's his fatal flaw. If he has one, it's his aversion to contact. He needs to draw more fouls.

Yes, he needs to draw more fouls, improve his handle and his hesi movement. However, he picks up his dribble way, way, way more than you think.

Yeah I do think he's reduced it but it still does happen a lot. Sometimes I'm not sure if it's because he's just so ready to defer and pass it off to Alpi or KD, commonly when he does stop and pick it up it's an instant short pass or hand off to those guys. He definitely needs to learn to keep the ball live if he's going to develop into a true point. I think it's doable tbh, but he's not there yet.

Ime doesn't understand basketball and how to properly use a dead eye shooter like Reed, it drives him nuts when Reed lets a guy get by then picks his pocket.

Reed is on another level from Ime, he is an off rhythm players, and those guys usually are STAR players, they see and play the game at a different rhythm - Manu - Scola - Bird - Hakeem - Chambers - Old Sabonis - guys who had their own style - and played a completely different pace...

They are such an advantage to have.....we are luck that we have Reed.....and Amen - another one.

I wouldn’t push it that far, he’s a great role player

the thing is, on a team so void of shooting outside of KD his importance as an X factor can’t be understated enough

I have to say, that narrative fits Sengun WAY more than it fits Reed. Even his own teammates have spoken towards to (pretty sure it was Adams I saw in an interview saying that's exactly what makes Alpi so hard to guard - his movements are completely unpredictable compared to the norm) and it's why many say he's like a supersized Manu...

Brunson, and John Stockton figured out how to take a "charge" without getting flattened... Reed just needs to show how sturdy he can be while learning to flop/not hurt himself while taking charges. He tries to put his chest into the defender and gets literally lifted off the ground by bigger wings... just needs to learn to drop and flop.

... and Charges. Learn to flop and drop like Brunson does & John Stockton and others made into an art form.

Because he's an egomaniacal control freak in his his sphere of influence, who accepts no responsibility for his own shortcomings...
In fact, he projects them onto the players. His hypocrisy knows no bounds.
    And, he's not very smart
Is there a racial component too? One would hope not, but I'm not sure.

    IME DOES NOT HATE REED.

If anyones to blame, blame Sengun as to why Reed is not playing more. Together, their defensive numbers are horrendous.

27 —> 21 —> 17 and now on par for 14 minutes tonight. Subbed out right after he got hot and gave us momentum for Tate

anybody that doesn’t think this is personal at this point needs to be sold a bridge

were not firing the Udoka so need to trade Sheppard in the offseason

The Rockets only played Reed to showcase him for a Giannis trade.

He picks up his dribble because the defense has cut him off. I'm not sure he will ever have the handles to consistently take his man off the dribble in isolation. But, he can get better at taking angles off of the PnR to free himself and thst help a lot.

When Reed starts, we play better against the good teams. Why? Because it forces teams to guards us man to man vs double teaming Sengun or KD. Also, it allows Amen to be free to cut more.

Regardless of who started Reed was not able to hit shots when it counted tonight

That's just a fact & way more important

The entire team hit only four 3-pointers and Reed had half of them.

All I know is when Reed starts we have a better chance of winning. If Ime would get his head out his @$$ and start Reed we would’ve won 60 games this year. Reed played 18 minutes tonight and scored 12. Double those minutes and it probably would’ve been 24 points and we would’ve won tonight. Josh okogie is a really good defender but lacks offense. He played 27 minutes and scored 2 points. This loss is Ime’s fault. All because they know Reed makes Fred obsolete.

And missed most of them while dribbling the air out the ball, not able to get past his man, and fouling every defensive possession. Reed is so overrated by this fanbase it's giving Linsanity vibes
