We’re going to see that he got a LOT of credit for success in Boston where in reality he inherited a great situation from Brad Stevens and was carried by a bunch of great assistants. It won’t be because of his basketball IQ.
It's no surprise the Celtics squad immediately improved on their Udoka tenure the minute he left. I will die on the hill that old mate from the Celtics paid his wife to sleep with Udoka so they had an ironclad reason to dismiss him. We as Rockets fans (the ones who have functioning brains) can already see how inept he is at the helm of a team which should be good to great. We get it. He improved on a Stephen Silas team. The same Silas who wouldn't be hired for a Division 8 high school team if his dad didn't coach in the NBA. Imagine being a garbage coach where your A, B and C strike plan out of an inbounds play with seconds left in the quarter or on the shot clock, is to ignore Kevin Durant and instead give it to Sengun behind the perimeter where his number one weakness is exposed. Time. And time. And time. And time. And time. Again. I'd be shocked if Ime isn't #1 on the all-time coaches list by next season, of head honches giving up double digit leads in the 4th to lose the game.
Let's look back at his playing career, this is the best highlight reel I've ever seen. Starts off with a free throw ****en LOL Really need to track down his career high game when he WENT OFF for 16 points. I'm sure it was a scintillating display
Nah, IMO Udoka's on the level of a Spoelstra or Popovich. I don't think many coaches could've gotten this team to perform as well as they did this season despite the injuries and obvious chemistry issues earlier on.
Ime is HORRID...... This collapse was once again authored by Ime the dumbass. He was a LOUSY player....and a worse coach....,.literally offers NOTHING in the way of helping. DD
When he was still playing, I said to myself, that Nigerian guy is going to coach some day but I don't want to have to ever root for the team he coaches. The most boring (role) player ever. Little did I know he became that short tempered and aggressive.
Nah, you're the dummy because you want to keep this false narrative going despite obvious evidence to the contrary. Ime can't coach offense... Ime can't make adjustments... Ime can't make substitutions. WAH WAH WAH! Every single one of those claims have been proven false and the Rockets have achieved another 50+ win season in a deep western conference despite the adversity. That's an achievement worth celebrating.
Ime sucks, he has ZERO clue how to impact a game. Literally he is outcoached game after game. Run his ass out of here. DD
If Doc Rivers can make the all time top 15 NBA coaches of all time... Ime can make the list one day as well.
Ime grew up tall, rich, good looking, and athletic. Sure he wasn't much in the NBA, but amongst average dudes, he wasn't one that took "No" for an answer very often. He got what he wanted when he wanted it, and he could usually get away with it. Eventually, this total lack of impulse control cost him his job, and he went from coaching Jason Taytum and Jalen Brown to coaching Jalen Green and Jabari Smith. But what should have been a humbling experience clearly hasn't rubbed off on him. You do things his way, consequences be damned. He didn't let his wife, his kid, or the affair lady's husband get in the way of what he wanted, why should he let more ephemeral things like "offense", "spacing", and "three-point shooting" get in the way now?
I'm not quite sure you know what those words mean. If you did, you wouldn't be repeatedly making a fool of yourself in this thread.
