Fell asleep before the game, woke up to the Rockets down big. Did catch one Reed–Capela PnR—Capela took out Reed’s defender, Reed snaked into the midrange pocket with Oso in drop. Easy middie. Stats suggest they didn’t go to PnR much at all.

    Edit: Here's that play.

"He don't get that type of credit with me. Maybe some other guys that may turn up cause he talk to them, but he's not that important, especially with me to get me going."

Kevin Durant when asked if chatter with Dillon Brooks gave him extra juice in Rockets win over Suns.

"I wake up going and ready to play, but I respect Dillon. I respect what he brings to the game. I think that gets him going more than me. I just happened to get that ball right afterwards and make a good move, but it wasn't in spite of Dillon and I wanted to show him up. He's not that much of a concern to me, but I respect how he approaches the game and what he does. And that's valuable to him and that makes him a better player, but for me, it has nothing to do with my game." #Suns #Rockets

That’s why they are podcast people. Amen is about to be the youngest player ever(?) to be on two first team all nba defensive teams

If it is the podcast I heard, they were referring to Amen vs their expectations for him.

I expected Amen to have a better season. He's shown improvements on the offensive side, but he's not as impactful defensively. Still great defensively, though. Think it might be that he's using more energy on offense.

Honestly, it was pretty soon after it was bad. 2nd quarter we got really close to tying or taking the lead after finishing the girst a little better, 3rd went back and forth, and 4th we just kept the momentum and they didn't. Their dominance was completely front-loaded in this game. I'd say lucky us, but they weren't going to keep that shooting up, and the Rockets have been resilient as of late.

I would give him a high C / low B. He has met expectations given the change in roles and increased minutes load / offensive role, but he has not exceeded expectations in any area except drawing/making FTs. If he'd also had a 30% season from three and scored an extra point or two per game along with it, I would bump him up a letter grade.

Dillon is a fake tough guy. Said it last year when he got punked in the playoffs. He always disappears when guys give it back to him, like Lebron did.

His defense has been fabulous all year. This is a false narrative. Without FVV, he is not able to help all over the floor as much as he did last year. He has to stay home a lot more.
