Depends if Luka is back at any point in Round 1. The NBA will have the Lakers be the last series to kick off to give him time. You know the refs will want any series with the Lakers to go 6 or 7.
This right here. The combination of a team that includes Luka and James, and the fact that it’s the Lakers no less, definitely raises their odds to win a series as a given. But eventually they did have the same conditions a year ago vs. Wolves and still lost.
Eh, I’d be worried against any team. The Rockets are capable of losing a series to anybody or beating anybody. All depends how well they play. I’m not worried about the Lakers or any other team, I’m worried about how well the Rockets are able to play consistently over a series (or even over four quarters in a game)
That is what they are capable of but winning multiple games against the same opponent is something that they have not been doing recently. Or even playing the same opponent multiple times......other than the Lakers fully healthy. Heck, I do not even think the Spurs are as dominant in the Playoffs as they were during December-March.

If we lose to this Lakers team with no Luka or Reaves it will be impossible to deny that we need to fire everybody and at least soft reset this team. In that regard, facing them is basically the ideal scenario. Either we advance and get more playoff experience for the young guys, or we take steps to fix the front office/coaching staff/roster construction. I think we'd almost certainly win the series given their injury status though. Even if the refs go deep into their bag.
Most likely 4th seed rockets will go 4-0 or 4-1 against the 5th seed lakers without Doncic and Reeves. I prefer to go against OKC than Spurs in the 2nd round. Go Rockets.
