The US government didn’t abandon the Iranian people. The US government never gave a **** about them to begin with. The US government never gave a **** about the Iraqi people when it invaded Iraq, created a mess and left…. Certainly didn’t give a **** about the Afghan people.
Do the American people care? Yes, a significant number of Americans do - but until ethical an responsible leaders are elected, it won’t matter.

Our expectations from the government and our leaders are warped. Rather than arguing over trans gendered people or whether kids want a Christian club in school - we should worry about the real issues. We don’t take care or love our own people, until we do, we won’t treat other people well.
