Mark Williams is a drop big. If Phoenix stays in drop, Reed should be able to live in that midrange pocket. If they come out of it, their help rotations aren’t consistent enough to handle Sengun rolling behind the play. If Ime leans into Reed in PnR, this could be a big game for him. PnR would work with Durant as well. Granted, I expect Amen, Durant, Sengun, and JSJ are going to see weak defenders everywhere and just try to beat their man. They will likely score well, but probably not as well as a PnR would work tonight. Hoping the Rockets don't get sloppy in an up-and-down game that Phoenix would like.
Can you imagine the pandemonium on this board if we face Phoenix at some point in the playoffs and JG and DB goes off? Clutchfan's hate of Jalen Green is up there with Vernon Maxwell's hate of Utah.
JG and DB could go off. I would not care. Rockets would still win the series, and likely beat the East team for the Title.
They might lock up the 1st Seed and then throw the Denver game. Reserves + GLeaguers FTW. Spin: Williams will sit out the front end of this back-to-back set due to right hamstring injury management, and his next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Clippers. With the star forward sidelined, Cason Wallace and Ajay Mitchell are candidates to step into the starting five, while Alex Caruso and Aaron Wiggins could see increased playing time.
I would have stayed up and watch the game but it’s not showing on my NBA League Pass. It’s on Peacock and I don’t feel like subscribing to the damn channel.
It should be an interesting game. Jalen, Booker, and DB (I miss this guy playing with the Rockets) should give the Rockets a lot of problems tonight. On the other hand, the Rockets' KD, Alpi, Amen, Bari, and Reed could give them a run for their money in return. If this game holds up to our expectations, it might be worth it to stay up late to watch the whole game, win or lose.
We just have to do our homework and take this baby home for home court advantage. It will represent more Udoka and more Stone, but I find very difficult to root against the Rockets. And you know they will try to bring back Luka and Reaves at the end of the series, we really need home court advantage.
I'm legit gonna go bed in half an hour (it's 10pm nearly) so I can get up at 4am and watch us win this game. I need Amen to shut Jalen the **** down, been waiting for this revenge game (ours, for his disappointment, he doesn't get to have one, we're the victim.)
What's funny is I think Dillon had the best chance of having a good game against us. We'll be more focused on Booker offensively, and we know Jalen well enough to understand how to stop him or just lean on his history of inconsistency (even if he's been playing better lately). Hoping for #50 either way! Trump may start WW3 tonight, so who knows maybe I'll stay up and watch the game while keeping up with the news...
I'm sure we could handle one game in 7 tbh, easy to deal with when it's someone else he's ****ing over lmao
