I can count at least 15 games this year KD saved us from disaster...also, this isn't on KD for what you're trying to convey the reasons for our struggles. Ime is hardly running any plays/sets...Amen and Reed is basically dribbling the ball up court and trying to pass the ball to KD to run the offense. If we didn't have KD, defenses will be doubling Sengun to dare us to shoot the 3. We went through a terrible stretch beginning of 2026 of making open 3s. Take away KD's 26ppg on 52% shooting...who in the hell on this team gonna replace that???
Not excusing Ime...I think he's reached his usefulness here as a coach. Not a fan. ...But are we sure it was the 3pt shot that made Ime pull him? I'm asking because I went back and looked and before Sengun had taken the shot Ime had already called Tate to the scorers table to sub in. He actually called Tate to the scorers table after the Warriors scored on the other end and as we were bringing the ball up court. He was obviously upset at him for something....But did Ime or Sengun or someone come out and say it was because of the three ball?
I'm talking about this roster...we saw that story last year, KD is an upgrade from Jalen. The problem is Tari/DFS aren't living up to the expectations of replacing/upgrade from Dillon Brooks

1. Sengun isn't there yet to tiptoe around his mental lapses.. 2. What coach you know that's gonna chastise KD when he's your go to guy? Maybe a few if any .. These blowup aimed at Ime are sometimes layghable.. We get it, yall hate him lol
So why was Tate already at the scorers table ready to check in? Something else I noticed when going back were the defensive plays before and after. I could see Ime being upset about those two plays. Also when Sengun had the ball standing at the three pt line, Ime was calling for Amen to come up and set Sengun a screen. But more than anything that leads me to believe Alpi was about to sit anyways is that Tate was already at the scorers table to check in well before the shot went up. Its possible Sengun was going to be given a short break there regardless and Ime also happened to not like something he did. But Tate was absolutely about to check in for somebody.
I've actually seen Ime yell at Amen. KD not so much, but he benched Tari the whole 4th quarter basically. Ive also seen Ime yell at Reed and Jabari. The only one with a pass seems like the vets. Steven Adams, Fred Van Vleet, KD, Josh Okogie, Aaron Holiday, DFS, and Clint.
As a Rocket fan Curry shooting a game winning shot is not okay. The ball will go in more times than it won’t. If that is how Ime drew up the game plan than its not okay. Just wow Curry shooting as the clock ticks out. If the ball goes in we lose, and if the referee gets involved we lose. Pretty sure 80% of the time we lose. Just not the best way to end a game. How is this even remotely close to being good enough coaching? Yes, if Kerr this is what you’re looking for.
You should watch the gsme and see what Ime says to Alpy. If you're having trouble lip reading, just watch the hand gesture. He doesn't sit him for a minute and a half due to "normal substitution patterns" So who was Tate originally coming in for? Could be someone else....
