Should Durant be benched when he turns it over 7 times including 2 in clutch time?

    See.... you're being stupid now.

You don't bench the best players because they make a mistake. Alpi ain't a rookie. He's an all-star on a max contract. He's the engine of the team.

He may "deserve" to be cursed out. He may even "deserve" to be benched......

But you cant pull that garbage off during crunch time of a game when it is BLATENTLY OBVIOUS you cant win without him.

You corrrect behaviors like this from your top guys in practice. Have KD hit him over the head a hundred times with a wet dildo and make him run lines while the rest of the team watches him. Whatever man. BUT YOU DO NOT GUM UP THE GAME BY TRYING TO BENCH YOUR TOP DUDES DURING CRUNCH TIME BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE!!!!

Unless you're the Jazz and you're intentionally trying to lose.....

That is high school type bull corn Ime pulling out his cheeks right there when you're at this level of basketball.

    NOT ACCEPTABLE!

    IME NEEDS TO GROW UP!!

Also........ Amen chucked a turnover too.

Ime realized at that point he can't keep pulling guys out. He left Amen in and brought back Alpi and Reed.

But in the meantime... he almost lost the game hisself with his stooooooopidity.

    I can't say it enough.

That was STOOOOOOPID GAME MANAGEMENT. SOME OF THE WORST GAME MANAGEMENT I'VE SEEN IN 50 YEARS PLAYING AND WATCHING THIS GAME.

    AWFUL!

    GRADE CARD F

    FIREABLE OFFENSE

And I've been one of ime's staunchest supporters because he brought discipline and accountability to the roster.

But just like JVG from years past.... disciplinarians have a tendency to OVERDO IT!

And that is PRECISELY where IME is at.

    He is OVERDONE!

    HOW STUPID

Ah! FIgured I'd see this stupid post.

So.....Alpi now decides how Ime makes decisions in the clutch. Ime is yielding to Alpi's desire to be coached instead of MANAGING THE GAME!)!)!)!)!)!!!!!!!!

Gimme a break with that utter nonsense.

YOU DO NOT SCREW YOUR TEAM IN CRUNCH TIME JUST BECAUSE A PLAYER WANTS TO BE COACHED HARD!!!!

YOU COACH HARD IN PRACTICE FOR GUYS THAT NEED AND RESPOND TO HARD COACHING!!!!!!!!

    NOT THE GAME!!!!!!

    SMH.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT IME DID THERE WITH A TEAM TRYING TO GET PLAYOFF POSITIONING...TRYING TO WIN GAMES!!!!!!

    NO EXCUSE!!!

Well, at least he was smart enough to include him in the lineup for our last possession. If it were Aaron or Tate standing in the corner instead, no one would guard them and Sengun would have to shoot upon 3 guards instead of two.
But other than that, yeah - Ime almost f***** it up in the 4th when he subbed Reed for too long.

Also, once a player acknowledges the mistake you don't keep yelling......you just say...ok, don't do it again.

    IMe is a b****.

I do believe in tough love but you have to use your head.

Our players since Ime has been here all seem to have serious confidence issues at some point or another. We're on the eve of the post season, senguin has been money from 3 lately. Yea it wasn't a great shot but you don't cut off your nose to spite your face. And it seems that Sheppard and Senguin are always the brunt of it. There have been long periods where both have seemed very unhappy about being on the team and their play / body language reflected it

Of course, but we were up 10, and in control, and Alpi was WIDE open, and no one was moving, it was a good shot, not a great shot, but a good one, not worthy of Ime blowing his top as he tries to micromanage what can't be micromanaged.

Ime needs more leash, more carrot, and a ticket out of Houston before he ruins what this team could become.

If I were Stone I wouldn't get anyone defensive for the roster, I would fill it with guys that are meh on defense but offensively gifted so we never have an offensive drought.

Screw Ime, he is Tom Thibedeux part 2.

Agreed, a wide open 3 is rarely bad

Now lets compare...Tari drive get stuck and then shoot a stupid fadeaway midrange? Oh yea statistically speaking not only for him that is a horrible ass shot. But we never see him getting chewed out

A lot of that probably has to do with the fact Tari is a hothead and has gotten in Udoka's face a couple of times. Unprofessional dudes like Udoka need to be checked

Yeah - good example.......I think Alpi is done with Ime - because he is inconsistent, do you ever see IMe b****ing at Durant as he turns it over again and again late, or clogs up the lane by standing around?

    No? Why not?

Sometimes a player needs to be benched to get out their hard for making a bad play...only athletes would know this, but fanboys such as yourself wouldn't understand...

Durant is the reason we're not a play-in team

    LOVED IT!!!

These are grown ass men. If you can't handle a coach yelling at you then GTFO!

That was a horrible shot at a really critical time during the game. We can't just give away or be careless with possessions during the playoffs.

It's called coaching, Sengun will be better with what happened last night.

Bunch of p***y-ass millennials on these boards.

It is very clear that talent is not the issue. Our starting 5 is the best in the league scoring wise or amongst them, and the fact that we go up 18-20 in some of our losses and still lose is proof that talent was/isnt the issue

No he isn't he is the reason we are barely at the same level - the style he WANTS to play isn't fit for winning, now the style he is playing NOW means we would have been a contender if we leaned into this all year.

KD needs to be the finisher, not the creator - and he has been in these last 6 games primarily, we aren't seeing as many bad turnovers with him double teamed - oh they still happen but we quickly go away from him now.

Ime makes mistakes and deserves some criticism

    BUT

    Let's keep it on point?
Sengun makes terrible decisions at times, took a STUPID 3 pointer which led to a run out basket for the Warriors and kept all the momentum with them.

A minute later he puts Sengun back in.
Sengun scores the winning basket close to the hoop [not from 3]

I'd say, in this scenario, Ime got it right. Stop crying because Sengun got benched for a horrendous play.

Would ime react the same way if either of his boytoys tari or dfs (who is shooting 20% on the season) missed a wide open 3?
