Are the "defensive" subs ever worth it? This dumbass coach is addicted to these late game blunders

Tate / Holiday never seem to provide all NBA defense but Udoka sure as hell is fine tanking the offense

I'm so sick and tired of seeing this play out every close game

we all knew the warriors were taking the lead

I actually think the answer is "never" in Basketball. The best defense is always a better offense, it's a scorer's game. That shimmying little gremlin b**** is one of the biggest examples of that

    its every ****ing game man

he thinks he's being clever or some **** with it and it always tanks the offense

Senguin saved his ass today but its just like the heat game when he subbed in Tari for no reason who turned it over. Dude is addicted to this crap

Gotta love Holiday getting toasted on D and standing in the same spot as Jabari on offense.

He benches a guy who is +10 for a guy who is a -4 and shockingly the lead goes away... who could have guessed?

Yeah it's r****ded. He plays basketball like he's playing the wrong sport. There are definitely sports you can just grind it to a halt with defense. Basketball is not one of them.

I tend to think the same thing but I think it’s more of we just tense up down the stretch. We don’t want a live dribble with pressure for long, so we hold the ball waiting for the play to develop and we just don’t move and set screens well enough. Our action is way too delayed.

True, but they still need the best shooters out there in the clutch.

Coaches always play the odds. Its just like in Baseball, if its a left-handed picture at the end of games, they will switch up the hitter who has the best percentage to get a hit.

Ime is playing the percentages. Reed is the better offensive player, Holiday and Okogie are better defensive players

False equivalency, baseball and basketball are dramatically different sports. Baseball games can go several innings with no score, basketball is non stop scoring from start to finish. It's why great scorers are stars and great defenders are roleplayers. In baseball both the pitcher and the batter are a star player.

What's the percentage? Like 99 to 1? Those lineups virtually never work and consistently lose leads. Do you think it's a coincidence?

You want to bring as many weapons with you as possible on the court at the same time. Offensive ones are more valuable than defense but you hope your offensive weapons have the extra added dash of defense. No one but a f**king idiot would substitute out a main offensive weapon for a mediocre defensive stopper that has NO offensive value.

Holiday has rarely looked good at defense. He is a situational player that you put in when he is hitting his threes otherwise you glue his ass to the bench because he hurts you. Ime must think we have Jrue Holiday on the team.

Just wait till the playoffs. 6 man rotation. One new guy off the bench every game.

Yeah his situation is to lose a lead to hit the over/under.
