Sorry for spamming vids. I just really enjoy watching Kon

    Here’s vision on a blind kick-out.

Notice in one motion he sees ORL scrambling to cover the corner, so just knows that means to top of key is open.

Kon is elite at playing off 2 feet because of his IQ and frame. His jump stops and pivot game are fundamentals 101.

Of course! After all, who would pass on a LeBron/Giannis/God clone like Amen?!?!?!

You really went from being a Jalen extremist to being an Amen extremist.

As of right now Kon is the better player, partly because he’s been given free reign. Also because Kon being a bigger player can muscle himself into the lane.

But Reed went from looking like a total bust in his initial stints when he stated his career. To a non efficient 3 point shooting specialist who’s supposed to shoot 3’s. Literally he looked ultra slow and awkward handling the ball last season. So much that on many redrafts, people would not put him in the first round, period! The one good thing is what he did in his brief stint in the G-a league, he literally toyed with the competition.

If not for the super positive description by Stone during the offseason, I was thinking this dude’s a total bust myself.

And this year Reed hit the gate looking so much more dominating. He’s had his ups and downs, but he’s proven to be highly effective all season long. His WS for his class has I’m at #4 overall, which has been catapulted with mostly his terrific play this year. We’ve all been dismayed that Ime either has little trust in Reed early on, or was coddling him in the 4th quarter.

So although I voted for Kon, I think Reed has the potential to be a superstar in the likes of Steph Curry. Kon has more going for him in his size, but Reed seems to have the intangibles that might propel him to a much higher ceiling than can be projected. But both players figure to be superstars.

Both fellas look to be very humble and coachable. Kon never seemed annoyed that Cooper got all the accolades at Duke. Reed never criticized his Rockets coaches for managing his minutes.

Are we the most homery fanbase do you think? We've got people comparing Amen to ****ing LeBron James (as a passer even!) people saying Reed's better than Kon when Kon's clearly on the star path and Reed's struggling to get a starter spot. We all bigged up our "core 7/5/4/3/2/1" (assuming the progression continues) like crazy too. Jalen's the next Kobe, Alpi's the next Jokic, **** remember when they said Josh Christopher might be another Jrue Holiday? lol. Needs studying tbh.

Yea it must be nice to be free to play your game right away without having to worry about getting benched. I like the other guy, but he was born into a rebounding team and he's had more of an opportunity. You have to give credit to Lamelo Ball. The way he plays takes a ton of pressure off his teammates. Not to take away anything from "Kon" though. Reed can give you 20 and 10, he's capable of running an offense on a championship caliber team, and he's just as good of a shooter. He would have been rookie of the year hands down if he were drafted by a team like the Hornets or the Wizards. So who knows...

Or maybe we’re just a normal fan base getting excited about our young players and looking on the bright side with a few a**holes like you that live to sh*t on any poster that doesn’t agree with their negativity towards our best players. Why not just go live in the NBA thread, instead of polluting the Rockets forum with your constant contrarian takes?

If you prefer I could run around the forum proudly displaying how much c*m I've got on my face from wanking players off unnecessarily all day instead? Oh ****, my mistake, then what would the point in your entire existence be if we all did the same **** you do? I get it, you're all emotional because I don't believe Amen is LeBron (or even half of LeBron) you don't need to keep quoting me crying all day every day, it's really pathetic.

I must admit, I didn't pay much attention to the draft with us not really being involved. Was he always consensus this good, or did playing behind Flagg obfuscate just how great a prospect he really was?

I think it's important to remember, that if the Rockets drafted K-nipple, he wouldn't be playing right now because of Ime.

he got better throughout the season, but being in Flagg’s shadow was the reason he didn’t get more hype. He was the ultimate connective player for Duke with outstanding efficiency. He measured smaller than people hoped at the combine, but folks who really studied the draft knew Kon was a top 4 prospect. There was consensus that he was the best shooter in the draft. And he’s only 20; he’s gonna get even better. Charlotte got a bonifide star. Reed certainly has star potential, but it’s much less certain. He doesn’t have the same tools.

I’d prefer you debate honestly and respectfully with others, instead of getting hateful when good guys like OremLK, Easy, and just about anybody else that disagrees with you voices an opinion. Guys like you, that go around talking about posters like they are whacking players off just because they say somebody has a skill set early in his career that maps to an early hero of yours, shows a lack of character and intelligence. If you can’t debate without degrading everybody that disagrees with you then “I’d prefer” you go away. I’d put you on ignore, but since you are such a prolific, foul hater the forum would become to disjointed too read.

I mean, in fairness, that is pretty much your MO though. You went straight from being on your knees fluffing Jalen and ******** on the rest of the team to doing the same for Amen. You are just inherently a player first type fan, you pick a player crush and **** on everyone else because you think their success is a threat to your guy.

    That's something worth pointing out.

I think this is wrong. His size alone would get him on the floor more than Reed at the earlier part of the season, because he would not be picked on as much as Reed based on him being a smaller guard.

I’ve made no bones about how much I admire Amen’s play, but the Jalen stuff is a figment of your imagination and a result of your obsession with him. I don’t care if you or him disagree about Amen, but the name calling and hatred and out-right lies is un-called for.
