No, I do not believe him. Just like how I didn't believe that he would replace the JCPOA with a much better deal, that he had "obliterated" the Iranian nuclear program, that he thought Iranian civilians would rise up after a day or two of bombing to cause regime change, or that the war would be over in 2 to 4 weeks, which was five weeks ago. Everything is so easy to him, and that same simple thinking meeting strategic incompetence means Iran is more likely to come out of this more dangerous, not less. Which is the opposite of what you say you want. Trump has threatened to obliterate Iran’s power grid. You are two sides of the same coin, and all that coin knows is to destroy until one side is wiped out or suppressed. Most Iranians and most Americans want the same basic things.
