Maybe so, who knows. I dont think they would trade castle right now though. They have 3 point shooting surrounding him and Wemby doesn't clog the paint.

Actually over 75% of Reed’s 3’s are assisted. Reed rarely creates space for himself. It’s not a bad thing

He creates space for himself and others....no one else is making those full court passes, on rebounds - Reed opens the entire offense up and they RUN with Reed.

I know you ARE DESPERATE to have Amen be the PG, but his handle isn't good enough, he will never be a PG, he will be a tertiary creator - Reed and Amen together are the way with Reed playing primary PG.

    Sorry charlie !

    25% This:

    And this:

And other times full court passes ....dude is a stud.

BS. You and your alt account BTG are just Reed only fans. I want the ball in Amen’s hands and Reed’s hands. Any criticism of Reed becomes an Amen vs. Reed battle in your minds. I was responding to Nook about a comment that he was creating his own shots. I’m an advocate of an Amen and Reed backcourt and if Reed becomes the initiator more than Amen it won’t matter to me. What is of concern to me, is sticking Amen in the corner and castrating the only guy on the team that can drive and dish, a fundamental requirement in a well spaced offense. At this point in his career, Reed is being assisted 5% more than the NBA average. Not a big deal. Why is it so important to you that he be a PG. Spot up shooters are valuable as well. Your hyperbole for Reed is over the top just like it was for Cam, KJP, and Tari once upon a time. Reed has shown remarkable progress and that’s good for the Rockets.

Who's post history? You're talking to yourself, I fear. Also your last sentence is absolutely mindless gibberish.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t creating space for himself. The Rockets lack penetrators good enough for defenses to completely collapse and give Sheppard completely open shots. A lot of those assists are him taking very tough shots.

The "well the Rockets needed offense more so its not bad they missed out on Castle who can't shoot" are aging like milk.

Guy has looked amazing today and all season.

He is already 17-7 on 47-33 splits and is an all defense level defender - his dribble drive is as good as anybody on the Rockets

The Rockets would be an elite defense again with him instead of Reed and I don't know if the offense would drop off that much. He's certainly a better PG playmaker than Thompson

Castle is a poor man's Amen, if the Rockets had Castle over Reed, they'd have the worst spacing in the league and the offense would be non-existent.

Castle works on the Spurs, because they have Wemby and because pretty much everyone else on the team can shoot.

Ime would play him, becuase he's a ****ing idiot who doesn't realize there's two sides of the ball, but he'd be as unplayable as DFS

He is good, but Wemby helps by drawing all that attention, generally speaking.

Castle is a better around player than Reed this year. He is and was the wrong fit for the Rockets. I think the odds of Castle getting a 35% 3 pt shot are better than Reed becoming a plus defender. It is that reason that I believe Castle’s ceiling is greater than Reed’s, but since neither is going to be a superstar, fit trumps ceiling.

Watch him drive into the lane and finish - he's very good by himself.

He's going to be Jrue Holiday or Derrick White as a floor.

Even despite having to deal with Ime, Reed is still hands down better than Castle. Swap teams and Rockets fans would be already killing Stone for blowing the pick on a guy who would be completely unplayable with the Rockets.

Is it a coincidence that the people who don’t like Alpi will generally not like Reed either…what is up with that?

Maybe they hate guys who can't play defense?

For real, I actually think Reed much more valuable than Sengun. He spaces the floor, Sengun doesn't. He can be paid like a role player - Sengun can't

If Reed is bad on defense you can hide him. When your center is bad, your opportunity cost of rim protection is too high
