I guess so. You just keep turning those wheels in your head (really just wait till Twitter or an article can tell you how) to figure out the angle to make this political. And how this aggrieves some particular thing.

    seriously

anyone doing this in the work place is getting fired quick…nobody wants to deal with this or be around it

idiots thinking he got booted because he said he was against Pride Night on IG

this mentally unwell dumbass was harassing the entire team and organization, is now estranged from his family, and is so far gone he’s rambling to himself on the plane

imagine boarding a flight and the guy sitting next to you is rambling religious nonsense to himself…nobody here would think that person is doing well mentally

Which is why I said that they would have Ivey working with the PR department right now if he were still any good. That's what they did with Kyrie. Ran him through the public relations gauntlet. They'd be doing the exact same with Ivey if he still had it.

Miles Bridges got suspended for a full season and Kevin Porter Jr. was briefly exiled. Maybe Ivey will find his way back to a team, but he seems to be having a mental health break down. He'll need to receive help (and regain his form) before a team brings him back on.

Reminds me of some of the homeless folks I see out and about that are clearly going through some sort of religious psychosis. It's always these wild rants about Jesus coupled with crazy conspiracy theories and all kinds of bigoted nonsense. Ivey seriously needs professional help, something ain't right.

Jaden Ivey seems to have very poor insight into what is going on with him mentally

he refuses to take responsibility and thinks he was let go for simply speaking his mind or the “truth”…no, you were doing a lot more than that

your wife and family are not speaking to you, and you are still not comprehending how much your actions are affecting those around you

keep down this path, and in a few months you’ll be crying about how you haven’t seen your kids in so long and blaming everybody else for why that is

I will also note his injuries seems to be pretty severe and a bit downplayed in this thread. The Bulls traded for him as an expiring so him looking to be worthless short term means there's no risk for them to cut him now. As far as the basketball side of things, there's zero reason why the Rockets would possibly pick him up for this season.

Ant apologized... was Ivey willing to do so?

    AI
Yes, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards apologized for using homophobic language in a video posted to his Instagram story in September 2022.
Details of the Incident and Apology:
    • The Video: In a now-deleted video, Edwards filmed a group of people on a sidewalk and used a homophobic slur while disparaging them.
    • The Apology: Shortly after the video circulated, Edwards tweeted an apology: "What I said was immature, hurtful, and disrespectful, and I'm incredibly sorry. It's unacceptable for me or anyone to use that language in such a hurtful way, there's no excuse for it, at all. I was raised better than that!".
    • Further Apology: He apologized again on September 26, 2022, at the Timberwolves' media day, stating he was "willing to do whatever it takes to make it right" and that the comments did not reflect who he is.
    • NBA Fine: The NBA fined Edwards $40,000 for the use of "offensive and derogatory language".

He can believe whatever he wants. If he makes his teammates and family uncomfortable to the point where they all want him gone, he pays the consequences. Meanwhile, if you reflexively condone his behavior because it aligns with your political perspective, perhaps you should reflect on why your opinions align so well with people that no one else wants to be around.

You are the company you keep — if the people who best represent your views are bigots that no one respects and think are quite literally insane, that says as much about you as it does about them.

Ivey is hurt right now, I would add him to the team and let him spend this offseason to get healthy.

NO one ****ING cares about anyone's views on Gays or Trans it is less than 1% of the population - stop falling for the BILLIONAIRE class dividing the ignorant by focusing on NON IMPORTANT stuff like this.

People have a right to be whomever they want, all people are created equal - and no one has a right to tell anyone else how to ****ing live.....

We are living in a country that is screwing us all over led by a man who screwed children and some of you are concerned about how Gay or Trans people are acting? When it has zero affect on any of you personally?

Find something important that matters - people are dying because a deranged idiot is in the whitehouse and you guys are arguing about Gay people - I mean REALLY? They aren't hitting on you anyway....FFS....people focus....just let people live and stop b****ing about others, fix your own damned self.

Seriously, stop giving this guy attention to all "journalists". He needs to be protected from himself. Hate all these podcasts and clickbait ****s taking advantage of a mentally unstable guy. And no it's not about preaching or being christian, clearly he's lost the common sense threshhold of when to speak of these things, how to go about them and not let your ego get wrapped up in it. When you start judging people the way he has, then clearly you are not well. I feel bad for the guy.

Did he actually say this? The linked video is back from media day and has nothing to do with Jaden Ivey.
