Actually, players do care. Especially an older player who has played on shitty teams the majority of his career. He wants to get paid, but he also wants a chance at a ring. Teams A has gone 3-14 and Team B has gone 13-4....and the difference is $3 million dollars, Many players will take Team B.

especially in a state with no income tax and some nice affordable areas (have to think about family)... weather plays a role as well

What do you mean? It's really not that hard to believe. Just think of it in a more relatable scale- if you were to be offered a job that paid you 80k instead of the 90k youre currently making in a toxic culture, but the new job offered you a better working environment with a better culture, which one are you taking?

Of course there are people that are all about the money and will continue to stay in their current position because of the higher pay, but I know a lot of people that would quickly jump ship for a better headspace with lower pay.

90% of players are all about the money. An even greater % than that are about the money later in their careers.

I think some are forgetting that professional athletes have a very short window to maximize their earnings. This especially applies to non-superstar, everyday NFL players. From the very beginning, it is "late" in their careers.

That's a big man. He's not going to get pushed around or trip over his own 2 feet like Scruggs did.

He hasn't been so far in his.career. Injury is the only thing that has held him back.
