Americans don't realize the energy crisis the world is facing. The backlash to this towards America will last decades. We're throwing the entire world into a global recession

    TACO or MADO?

One is a strategic defeat. The other is strategic blunder.

White House: Reopening Strait of Hormuz Not Vital to Ending Iran War

Ensuring safe passage for oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz is not one of the “core objectives” President Donald Trump has set for ending his military operation against Iran, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Monday, potentially setting the stage for Iran to continue to flex its strategic position over one of the world's busiest oil shipping channels for the foreseeable future.

The prospect of Iran continuing to exert greater control over the narrow Strait could make it one of the lasting legacies of the conflict.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview with Al Jazeera on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz would “reopen one way or another” after the military operation was over. “It will be open because Iran agrees to abide by international law and not block the commercial waterway, or a coalition of nations around the world and the region, with the participation of the United States, will make sure that it’s open,” Rubio said.

Gulf allies privately make the case to Trump to keep fighting Iran | AP News

Gulf allies of the United States, led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, are urging President Donald Trump to continue prosecuting the war against Iran, arguing that Tehran hasn’t been weakened enough by the monthlong U.S.-led bombing campaign, according to U.S., Gulf and Israeli officials.

After private grumbling at the start of the war that they were not given adequate advance notice of the U.S.-Israeli attack and complaining the U.S. had ignored their warnings that the war would have devastating consequences for the entire region, some of the regional allies are making the case to the White House that the moment offers a historic opportunity to cripple Tehran’s clerical rule once and for all.

Officials from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain have conveyed in private conversations that they do not want the military operation to end until there are significant changes in the Iranian leadership or there’s a dramatic shift in Iranian behavior, according to the officials, who were not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

This has to be the most humiliating thing America will have ever done in recent history. It'll allow iran to permanently hold the global economy hostage and make them richer than ever before as they'll charge a toll on every vassel.

Add it to the list of all the damage Trump has done to this country. Its even grosser that dumbasses want to name crap after a President the majority of Americans disapprove of.

I was looking at some plans yesterday for that Trump Presidential Library, and it looked like the type of crap someone like Kim Jong Un would do, with the gold statues of Trump. One is in the ballroom, and it's a gigantic gold statue right behind the stage, with Trump pumping his fist, that you have to look at the entire time. It's so narcissistic and gross.

Eric Trump, Daddy's least favorite child, said he poured his heart and soul into the project. He said, “This landmark on the water in Miami, Florida, will stand as a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known. These images have never been seen by the public — until today. Enjoy!”

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said, “The Trump Presidential Library will be one of the most magnificent buildings in the world and a living testament to the indelible impact President Trump has made on America and its people.”

LOL, yeah right. You want to make a living testament, then shape it like a big giant pile of orange poop sitting on grounds depicting an image of the world, with images of people suffering.

He has done nothing but make things worse than ever, not only here, but across the globe. He's one of the most embarrassing, ignorant, dangerous, unhinged, narcissistic, and lying leaders in the world right now. Nobody can trust him. His words mean nothing.

Low and slow. Early 1970's design. We'll see how they do on a modern battlefield. I'm not optimistic because these guys have learned nothing and are still fighting a 1990s kind of war.

As if Poland would even consider that given their history and the fact that Russia and Belarus are so close and Ukraine is next door. It's such an obvious answer that the only way you ask is if you are desperate, which I guess we are.

I feel sorry for the Americans that enlisted under Trump. This was Hegseth's comment about the surge of enlistments, when asked by Senator Banks what changed...

“There was an election, sir…. Leadership matters, sir. Belief in your country matters. Having the back of your troops matters. Setting a clear mission matters. Ensuring that if your troops are used for a clear, defined mission. It’s funding them properly, it’s giving them the proper authorities to execute. Americans watch what happens with their political and military leadership, and with President Trump they understand that they have a Commander-in-chief that has their back, that loves the country, that loves them.”

What a crock of BS that has turned out to be.

It's interesting (academically, when it's not making decent people sick to their stomachs)... but some of this rhetoric sounds like Germany right before WWI. "Unsheath the righteous sword" and all that kind of crap, feeling a kind of divine mission to smite evil enemies. They all thought the war would be done in two months, tops, because they had God on their side, etc. Again, very video game like thinking in a world filled with complexity. So freaking sad. Kegsbreath scares me, but not in the way he thinks he does. All I see is the probable misery he's going to let loose with his combo of insanity and stupidity.

Maybe we've been focused on the wrong part of German history, LOL, or maybe these clowns want to make each German mistake they possibly can. We don't have a dictator as much as we have a Kaiser in a pointy helmet. LOL

“Detainees” here means Palestinians in the West Bank convicted of lethal “terrorist” attacks against Israelis. It doesn’t just apply to any detainees.

The tornado president. Just blithely bouncing around hither and yon while destroying things and expecting others to clean up the mess as they crash into another elementary school.

Hegseth: "The president was clear this morning in his Truth that there are countries around the world who ought to be prepared to step up on this critical waterway as well. Last time I checked there was supposed to be a big bad Royal Navy that could be prepared to do things like that."

    Could we be more pathetic?

Yes, almost certainly. Check back in tomorrow. Or this afternoon.

    "Get your own oil."

Europe should get together and start confiscating oil tankers headed for the USA.

That would be the Trumpian solution. Just take it. Fight fire with fire.

I mean Trump would probably send the Marines to invade Europe as a response, but it'd be very satisfying in that little window between action and response.
