I saw Rush on the Hold your fire, presto, roll the bones, counterparts, test for echo tours.

usually twice because they played baltimore arena and cap center. Test for echo I saw them at the woodlands.

    That’s enough for me.

    Related.

Canada's other power trio, Triumph is set to reunite and do a Noth American tour.

I was surprised to hear this.
Thought Rick Emmit was dealing with prostate cancer.

I have heard various conflicting rumors about the Triumph reunion tour.

Rik Emmet (singer, guitarist) just last year announce his retirement from touring. He said that he would do one-off shows but absolutely no tours.

Gil Moore (singer, drummer) hasn't played drums regularly for decades and is not physically abled to play a 2 hour set.

Mike Levine (bassist) reportedly has poor health and no business touring.

The three original members can not tour. It is just not a possibility.

That has not stopped a promoter from putting a tour together, mainly with a Triumph tribute band featuring Phil X (guitarist member of Bon Jovi). The plan is that the tribute band performs the whole show, with Rik and Gil sitting in for a handful of songs and ... guessing here ... the encore. Levine will be at some shows, but will have a video message played at the rest.

This tour is definitely a buyer beware sitch. I suspect the shows will be great ... just not exactly what some will expect.

The opening act for the tour will be April Wine ... not sure about many original members will be participating.

Since this is a Rush thread, here is a new-to-me Rush video ...

bastards!!! It is worth click through to watch.

I can't believe I got the sounds of Rush and Triumph confused.

But I didn't start it, read 4 posts above.

I've had 50 people text this to me today. :)

Interesting that the one song they played was a John Rutsey song and not a Neil Peart song.

Very impressive overall. Great start! Anika pretty much nailed it! Listened to her isolated drums on YouTube. Felt like she was "in the pocket". Alex and Ged brought a nice energy; playing was on point. Ged was emotionally charged; tough vocals for Ged but did it well enough. Song wasn't tuned down; standard tuning. Cranked it really loud and played along on guitar some. Nice touch on darkening the background with Anika and Loren Gold (keyboard player) for Alex/Ged to come out playing intro alone before lighting the other two band members up introducing them basically. Good idea on multiple screens showing band/Neil performing...would be cool if they sync-ed it up timing-wise w/ Anika's playing live at times versus just showing clips. Interested to hear an Anika drum solo that maybe pays some homage to Neil.

I think most of the old crew returned for the tour. Same guitar techs and Howard Ungerleider is doing the lighting as usual. It's only been a 10 year break; sure some aren't back with some new faces around.

Should be a good show with some feminine persuasion coming off the drum kit! It's funny how this whole thing really came together after starting off as "unfathomable". The legacy of the music overpowered Alex and Geddy to the point they could no longer deny their passion of playing the songs and playing them live. It's a great story and Neil would definitely be "on board". Neil would never deny Alex and Geddy the music or continuing to perform it without him with someone they think "fits". He was just that type of person. He was the Professor. Anika is the Apprentice.

I hope the new drummer really steps it up. Obviously big shoes to fill. But if Rush can pull it off, awesome.

I even got past Giddy Lee's chipmunk-on-helium vocals. Because the music rocks so hard. (Today's music? No rock? Forget it.)

Hey, Journey still exists without Steve Perry (but not for me: they should tour as "Journey" or Jerney).
