I never witnessed Scottie Quitten but this feels really close to it.

KD is our best player and if we were a few small tweaks away from contending, I'd say keep him. But we're not even close to contending and won't be for a long time. His timeline is not the same as the rest of the roster. There's no point in keeping him on this team, just like there was no point in the Mavs keeping AD. He's just impeding on the development of our young players or at least properly evaluating which ones to continue to build around and which ones to drop.

I think the toxicity stuff with Durant is a little overblown, but there's no denying that the Suns have a far brighter future now than they did last season with Durant. Not saying that because he was toxic to their team, but his removal has opened up so opportunities for their young guys to develop.

They're not trading KD, unless KD himself wants out.

Sengun less likely, but yes if Giannis says HOU is a target destination, then maybe, but was as far as crumbs go, the only place that ever seemed to be true is still NY.

With how bad Rockets looked this year, do you think Giannis still view this non-shooting Rockets team is good fit for him.

Lastly, the same 'cons' that folks here see in Sengun, Bucks fans/org are also well aware of. Bucks is bone dry in assets, this 'haul' people are imagining have to come from a third/forth team which is very hard to pull off.

Not saying this agenda of Amen-only fans, about keeping that non shooter slot just for him, but if the Giannis convo seriously heats up, they will ask for Amen. And before people say he's uNtOuChAbLe... if the convo actually starts, the temptation will be there where your fav non-Sengun to be on the block. Reed and Amen might not be safe. If Stone thinks his job is in danger, pulling in Giannis, but giving away Amen can save his job, he'd definitely do it.

If you let the fox into the hen house you can't control which chickens the fox will take.

To those of you would want to burn it all and rebuild, I'm not there yet, but I can't blame y'all after some of these games. But if you are resetting, don't reset with a 30 yrs old Giannis who is showing calf problems.

Love KD and never was on the Sengun train but if I had to, Id keep Sengun…But I damn sure wouldn’t build around him. As a poster stated, your wording of each player will most definitely skew the results in the manner that we all know you covet.. You can say it’s the truth and all but it’s clearly misleading…

Its keep KD/Ime or move on from Ime and keep Sengun. I want Sengun but his struggles have been worrisome.

Sengun is a 23 year old 2x all-star that led his team to the 2nd seed (no KD) just a year ago. How soon we forget.

You keep Alpi. KD is the better player, sure sure, but his age means he's 1-3 more years in the league, being generous.

Sengun's regression could be more about him and KD not really meshing together on the court and its affecting Sengun more than KD because he's the one still growing as a player. He had grown into a role and adapted to it only to have KD come here and change that role, no **** it'd affect him in some way. I am not blaming KD for Alpi's season, I still think its the coach that should have blended their games better together than what we have...

But if the option is between KD/Alpi, I'm taking the 23 year old 2x all-star every time over the 37 (soon to be 38) year old guy

People are acting like we made some big sacrafice to get KD. We got him for a bag of hot fries - Maluach, Brooks, and the ability to dump Jalen Green's salary.

KD is old, you don't make any major moves based on him. The decision to Keep Sengun or not will be based on if you want to keep Sengun.

*ALLEGEDLY* based on "body language", and some burner tweets, they don't like each other. Not confirmed. Codman is the only one who early on said Sengun didn't like Durant designated as the "only closer", but it didn't mean it was personal at Durant. (Unless it was Durant himself who pushed for it. That, we don't know)

DD, I know you don't like KD, but another thread? :D.

Suns GM did try to trade KD at trade deadline and that drama got messy real quick. KD's deal is also not very long.

Mentally people can say: 'ok trade KD for x or y', but do you think a relationship style GM like Stone would or could artfully do it? And what would team want for KD? Someone who can shoot, create and has gravity, someone with KD-like skills?

Are guys 3pt shots going get better when we lose one more spacer (KD)? Who exactly do folks think are out there?

Why is it that other teams farm systems can improve their players' 3pt shooting, but ours can't? Is it the energy spent on defense, is it the offensive system, and why can't the system be made to where the game come more easy to the players. Isn't getting an offensive coordinator and more shooting coaches low hanging fruit.

Easily Sengun. You have a better chance at landing a top pick for him than KD

I was high on him but senguin just has way too many flaws.

also, he probably didn’t deserve to be an all star this year but all the more reason to sell high on him. To be frank we need to restart the rebuild and blow it up

    Sengun average last 5 games:

    67.5 FG%, 1.2 blks
    24.8 pts, 8.8 rb, 7.2 ast to 2.8 TO's

Numbers can lie, especially on this team. But 67.5% on high volume doesn't. That's the Sengun everyone has been wanting.

Sengun actually shot WORSE LAST year, on a #2 seed team. So it points to an "everything else" regression on schemes & overall chemistry this year (& possibly health)

Trading Sengun and Durant really isn’t blowing it up if you get a decent return and some decent vets. My only problem with doing even that is we would letting Ime re-build. He doesn’t have the title, but he is the Rockets’ Bill O’Brien.

That’s since starting Sheppard, who along with Durant is drawing all the defenders. Issue is senguin can’t provide help D or rim protection
