I'm not ready to move on from Sengun/KD...I think we should build around them: 1) Upgrade our point guard position (we don't know what version of FVV we'll have...he was already on the slower side prior to injury) 2) Get a younger rim protector to backup Sengun (Steven Adams is not reliable with his injury history) 3) Get shooters!!! At the end of the day, the team with the most points wins the game. If we can't stop them then you better outscore them!!! Unfortunately, we're not doing both Brings me to this point, I think Amen is our best asset...those Suns picks are going to lose value with how the Suns are playing better than expected. I think everyone should be available, except for Sengun, KD, and Reed (year 3 will tell us his ceiling) at the right price!
if the Knicks crash out I’m digging around on towns a bit. obviously he has some weaknesses, but he would seem to complement our roster a lot.

here's a thought (just spitballing here) . . . how about Tari and FVV for Tyler Herro. maybe someone could run that through the trade machine to see if it works
Sengun, Amen and salary fillers (DFS, Adams, Capela) for Giannis, Turner and Rollins FVV plus 3 picks for Trey Murphy Giannis, Turner, Rollins 3-man lineups were +15pt per 100 possessions albeit in limited minutes, and +30 per 100 with AJ Green in 4-man lineups (according to AI) I don’t think the Bucks get better offers than this, since Giannis essentially becomes an expiring contract this summer. We can improve the offer with picks if needed. Rollins, Murphy, Durant, Giannis, Turner is a killer lineup, in defense and offense. Reed, Tari (if re-signed), and Bari fit great off the bench. We can go small-ball with Giannis-Bari-KD, play Rollins and Reed together for extra ball-handling, bring Tari in next to Turner and Giannis for extra defensive disruption. Everything else can be done with minimum contracts. Health/injuries obviously the biggest risk.
Karlo Maktovic, 6'10 230, just turned 25 years old, 2.3 mill team option for next season, 2nd nba season, has been playing off of the pelicans bench the last few years, has serious eye popping stats. Per 36 he averages 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks 1 steal, 1.3 TO on 60/42/73 shooting splits, 2.0 made 3's per game, a whopping 68% EFG and 70% TS. + 2.2 on/off splits, .141 ws/48, 0.6 vorp. https://www.nba.com/stats/player/1631255?PerMode=Per36 From the eye test in the few games we've had against them, he seemed to play with some dog in him as well. That level of extreme efficiency would normally imply that you could scale up his scoring quite a bit. Could be a Naz Ried type of guy for a contender. .
I’m not particularly interested in helping the spurs but if they offer something like fox, the kings swap, and 1-2 other firsts for fvv and filler is that worth considering? He’s a massive albatross and should age horribly so maybe it would take more picks and idk if he and reed can play together.
Are you talking about De’Aaron Fox? Can’t be smfh you guys do not watch basketball at all. You think we can offer FVV and filler plus the Spurs would have to give up 2 picks? Lmao
Trade Sengun and Sheppard for #1 pick Trade Jabari and Tari for #3 pick Rebuild around whoever is there at #1 and #3 and Thompson. Done.
His contract is SO bad, idk that i would take on it for less than that. Even getting that would be a hard pill to swallow. His absurd extension doesn't even start till NEXT season.
I’m not sure Sengun, Bari, Tari and Reed get you #3 in this draft, but I like the way you are thinking
The problem with that is Tari is a (R) free agent, and you can't sign and trade a guy and aggregate his salary. That means you can't combine it with other salary to bring back a larger salary.
If all these reports about the Blazers' owner being a total cheapskate are true he probably doesn't want to extend Scoot Henderson, so maybe it is worth kicking the tires and seeing what the price would be?
One can't aggregate, but without Tari, the Rockets would not be above the 1st apron. FVV's salary is close enough to match Herro's with under 1st apron rules.
I don't think they trade him unless he asks to go, same as we didn't trade Harden until he asked for an out, but I'm calling Denver on Joker after they just got humiliated... especially if we somehow complete the comeback and actually look like a credible destination. There are very few players, maybe like three guys in the whole league, who immediately turn this team into a contender if you trade Sengun + salary + picks for them, and Joker is one of them IMO. The roster is already built to compensate for his defensive weaknesses, already has the ideal #2 scorer (if he can stay healthy for the f***ing playoffs), and basically just has a Joker-shaped hole at the 5. So, you have to at least ask if they want to rebuild around the baby version, IMO. Yes, it'd be paying a premium price for a superstar in his 30s, which is usually a bad idea, but there are exceptions to every rule. Joker only just turned 31, and this series notwithstanding, his game has been aging like fine wine, and he's been reasonably (although not perfectly) healthy.
