Nobody would give up assets for Jalen after his disastrous playoff appearance. He makes 30M for 2 more years as a player option who d hell would give up FRP for that?

KD almost a 50/40/90 season is a cancer? Bruh if we had another cancer like him this team would be no 1 seed.

By wanting to trade FVV, I take that as you are for having had to exercise the team option, and send at least 2 additional FRPs to move salaries of FVV and others based on exercising FVV's team option. Granted, I don't think you actually want to trade 3 FRPs for Durant, but you hate FVV so much that you don't consider the ramifications of what trading FVV would have been. This may be a me problem; when I see someone say they want to trade someone or don't want to run it back with players x and y, I assume they are for the consequences of accomplishing what they say they want to do.

    On Jalen Green and offense....really?

At the time, there was talk of trading FVV and few if anybody felt we would have to add more FRP’s to get it done unless it was for Booker. You are projecting your feelings about me into what I said. I clearly did not and do not want FVV on this team, but I have never said we should pay any price to get rid of him. I said at the time, we should give Amen and Jalen a try as a backcourt and if it didn’t work out trade Jalen. Whether you think that was realistic is a different conversation. It turns out that Phoenix wanted Jalen rather than FVV for Durant. So be it. You like FVV, I don’t, let it go.

One was +17 in a 1 point win last night, the other was -14 in a 3 point loss

i wasn't aware they tracked the top thirteen 30-point games in a player's first 8 seasons.

My liking FVV does not change that Phoenix would not want FVV at the team option if at all, and that a lot of salary would have had to go to other teams to make a FVV-Durant trade work. A FRP was the going rate for taking about $15M in salary last season. FVV making $20M more than he signed to me indicates that Phoenix would want at least 1 FRP to take FVV at the team option plus the Rockets needing to shed $20M to the Nets to get the Rockets below the 1st apron or to meet 1st apron trade rules to make the trade possible. 2 FRPs seems reasonable though maybe on the low side.

I did not bring up FVV for Durant. You did. I get you hate FVV, I don't. If you want it to be let go, let it go. I'm not the one bringing up FVV often except for the rare sarcastic comment. Go ahead and post that you would have traded FVV for Durant. That does not place an obligation on me to not respond. In this case, my response was solely on the trade problems caused by exercising FVV's option in which in my opinion, only hate would cause someone to overlook.

Scored only 4 points on 2 for 5 by the way. But did pick up 3 blocks and 14 rebounds. The offense has been really horrible all season long. He hasn't even been a decent lob threat, let alone anything beyond that. But the defensive potential is still strong.

The center equivalent of a late March Jalen 30 pt game vs tanking teams. Maluach is really rough. Bad instincts, plays small. 2 years away from being 2 years away.

I can't find the unpopular opinions thread (I thought there was one? Can't find it now), so I'll just say it here: The 3 people who have taken the most excessive **** on this board all year are 3) Ime, 2) Jabari, and 1) KD. Not that all the criticism is undeserved. They each have real flaws. But way too often, their contributions get overlooked. Each of them just needs the right complementary people around them.

I feel this especially for KD, who has been everything we could have reasonably hoped for. Gets buckets so easily we just move on and talk about his TOs or his bad behavior on social media. We b**** too much about the "hired" part and don't give enough credit to the "assassin" part.

He did his job. He's here to score efficiently without needing to be set up and he did that very well. This team always still needed a good playmaker and unfortunately the process of realizing that was delayed by another season. Even without the injuries, there was always still one more trade to do and we still have the picks to make it happen.
