If they played Amen at the forward spot we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Lets say Ime decided to start Okogie at the point guard position, do you think the spacing will be better?

It's not so much where he's playing, it's just having 2 non-shooters on the court at all.

Playing him as a forward can make it less detrimental, but it still clogs up lanes for everyone else unless everyone else is a shooter.

When it was double bigs with Sengun and Adams, it clogged up lanes, but the Rockets were so dominant on the boards it didn't matter most of the time. With Amen as the "second big" they don't dominate the boards.

So if we played amen at the forward spot instead of Kevin Durant or Jabari Smith, our current forwards, our spacing would improve?

    That’s an extremely bold claim.

Reed is not his best self, yet. But if you don’t keep playing him you don’t get to see his best self. You are down 12 with no sign of offense. Ime is truly a turd.

Not about who starts, it is about who finishes the game.

As soon as possible. The KD–Reed and Sengun–Reed two-man games have taken a huge leap lately. Reed was the missing piece all along, the role we've been trying to force Jalen into. Gives us spacing so Sengun gets better looks as well.

Run a lineup of Sengun–Jabari–KD–Okogie–Reed and bring Amen off the bench.

He'll probably start if Jabari has to miss some time from rolling his ankle. Especially if Amen or Tari has to sit too. We'll see what he does with it.

This was my exact thought. If no Bari, then I would go with Reed, Okogie, Amen, KD, and Sengun.

No, not in a series against a good team.

Think about it, any simple pick on Amen and you have Sengun, Jabari, Reed, or KD coming out to switch onto Anthony Edwards, Shai, Luka, Jamal Murray, etc.

Not to mention the trouble matching up with teams 2nd and 3rd best scorers from the jump.

Not doubling and scramble rotating is the name of the game defensively in the playoffs.

    It’s too slow and cookable.

Liking shooting and being offense focused as a fan is normal but that’s not what’s been winning rings.

Gotta grow up and pick between Reed or Jabari.
