Did that price include the 3700 DLC's? :D

I just finished Claire Obscure: Expedition 33 and it's an absolute masterpiece.

The story, music, visuals, and voice acting are all top notch. The turn based combat is not everyone's cup of tea, but I liked it. The pacing is almost perfect with no grinding or fetch quests. The last time I was this invested in the characters was probably Dragon Age Origins or KOTOR 2.

What Sandfall Interactive was able to achieve as their first game with a small team is amazing.

Absolute buy if you're a fan of RPGs. Even if you're not an RPG fan, it's worth looking into if you like good story telling. I would say it's fairly easy RPG to pick up, unlike Baldur's Gate 3.

I may have to try this game one day. Just looking at video clips/trailers, it just seems like a game with too damn much going on visually. lol. But I've been wrong about games before, and maybe I'm wrong about this one.

The background visual are definitely striking in a good way IMO. The animation during battle can get a little much, but luckily most battles are short and only involving a handful of characters. So it's not a visual overload like most hack and slash game.

I would one drawback is that there is not much 'on the fly' strategy during battles. There is a ton of min-maxing in how you build your character, but not much in actual battle.

somewhat addictive, but not a lot of guidance on how to proceed in game.

I was just saying the other day that I sure would like to pretend I'm an electrician, but without all the negatives of actually being one!

That one's been on my wishlist for a while. Still waiting for the release. It looks pretty good.

Got back on Diablo 4 since the release of their second expansion included the first as well. Really enjoyed the campaign story, learning the new systems, and just having fun. Just like last time, the moment it feels like I am grinding instead of having fun, then I'll stop. Haven't tried any of the real endgame or new classes, but so far having a good time. Good time to jump back in if you are on the fence.

I got so burned out on that game and the grind after the "Belial's Return" season, I've skipped the 4 or 5 seasons after it. Too much of the "same stuff over and over" for me to keep playing. Yeah, the mechanics for characters may be a bit different, but I always felt like it was "more of the same", so I stopped playing. The other reason I got tired was how some classes are overpowered or underpowered and when they "correct" them, they go the opposite direction. I think it's just a scam to get you to try new classes and keep you playing. lol.

I may get back into it if I get bored or see a sale or may just wait for Diablo 5. lol.

Lots of pretty decent games out there, though. I finally started on Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and love it. I'm running around doing all kinds of stuff instead of trying to actually finish the game. That's a good sign of a good game. :D

I quit after a few months because I got burnt out. I didn't even bother purchasing VOH expansion. This however, is the best D4 has ever been, love the new area, and story is the best Diablo has put out since D2.

Just like me, even years down the line, when you get a chance on a sale or the like, give it a shot.

Like Clos4life said they have made some good improvements with this expansion. You will still run into a wall eventually because it is the nature of the game. But I do like the changes they made. The new classes are fun, the skill tree revamp is different and adding the cube and different ways to get and modify gear make it easier to get relevant gear (one of my main gripes in the past). I would recommend giving it a try at some point.

This is probably next on my list. I've been eyeing it for a little while, but I haven't had time to commit to it. I am about to have some time off and will probably pick it up. I loved BG3 so I am sure I will also like this.

I hate turn based games in general, this one though the story, music, and everything just left me in awe.

I've been trying to play Persona 5 Royal. I bought it when it first came out on the Switch. Not really feeling it so far. I'm at the point where Ann joined the party.

They feel different from what I've seen. BG3 is a better game, but the art and emotions of this game are incredible.
