I'm watching PBS News Hour, a weekly current events talkshow. Today they insisted of current events they focused on Steve Miller. The show is a panel of 4 reporters, today it's 4 who have familiarity with Miller Miller is Jewish, his family came here escaping Jewish persecution in Europe a hundred years ago. He grew up in California with progressive parents. One of the panelists asked him how does he merge his conservative views with his background. Miller mentioned former NRA's leader Wayne La Pierre's book where he argued if Jews had second amendment type rights they could have defended themselves during the Holocaust
When they start realizing, too late, that the GOP has been co-opted by the new far-right political party, MAGA. When you gladly accept and follow a myopic (my comfy little box) worldview guided by state propaganda owned by a handful of greedy tycoons, this is what happens.
He looks really dumb, but I didn't read that as fumbling so much as excited. He was like, inwardly, "OMG, do I actually get to talk about this in public. This is so cool. Don't f it up." So a little nervousness on word choice, but he seems like an eager white nationalist. Sad, pathetic, dangerous stuff.
