Man, I'm not a Ja fan. He's not a great shooter and doesn't play defense. But if Memphis is really salary dumping him and no picks are required, wouldn't something like Fred + Steven Adams or DFS get that done? Throw in a couple seconds if you have to. It would be nice to have a point guard. I'm also open to figuring out how to pry LaMelo away from Charlotte if they decide they want to tank one more year.

I don't know who else can reliably handle point guard duties that will be available. I'm not sure Coby White, for example, is any better than our current options.

Ja seems like that - it's so tempting but so bad for you - decision. If the deal was too good to pass up would you trust your excitement and pull the trigger or your logic and pass? Feel like we have been down this road numerous times with different players all with the same outcome. Ty Lawson specifically comes to mind with regards to Ja Morant.

Not at all. People cried last year and then he got Durant in the off season. he said last year that the off season was where he would focus on and he delivered. some people just want trades for the hell of it. Now if we got a veteran point guard i would be all for it, whether in the trade period or as a buyout player.

People forget the many different styles we played with Harden. Fast, slow, 3s and layups. When we got the number 1 seed, we actually changed our style during the season.

This is dumb. Durant is 37 and not getting younger we are 4th in the west and we have a glaring hole at point guard and you think that wanting a trade at the trade deadline that has teams basically giving away young point guards is wanting a trade just to make a trade lol Im sorry man this is a brain dead post.

Amazed to see all this angst over very average player coby white. White only even play PG 34% of the time this year and 30% last year. He shoot's 3's and does layups, no mid range at all. Why?

I mean we all knew deep down that stone is not going to do a ******* thing. In all of his tenure here, he has never made any significant move at the deadline. Having said that, I find it very questionable that they aren’t even trying to improve one of the most glaring weaknesses at the pg position, hell I am even open to getting a guard that can shoot from deep, I mean what the actual ****? Kd is 37 and even if they come to term that this season will be a first round exit or possibly reaching the second round, do they think that fvv will be the same player moving forward? That kind of an injury takes at least 2 years to get back to 70% of original form…

    very ****ing disappointed
