Getting a Taylor Kitsch vibe from the He-Man actor. That's not a great thing; Taylor is about as wooden an actor as I've ever seen. His turns as Gambit and John Carter are only not forgettable because they were such a huge letdown. Hope I'm mistaken.
This was a solid Western miniseries...of course he didn't have to act too much outside of scowls and grunts and grimmaces...but he was good in it regardless https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Primeval
Hmm, it's directed by Travis Knight. I've only seen two of his movies. Bumblebee and the stop motion cartoon about a samurai kid. Both weren't bad, but were a bit boring. This looks like more of the same, ie a good looking mid-off of a movie.
I don’t know. A lot about the art direction and set design looks like it heavily rips off the Thor movies Asgard scenes. It also reminds me of the Flash Gordon and OG D&D movie with Jeremy Irons…which are both really bad, but at least FG had the Queen soundtrack and is so campy it’s a cult classic. Who knows? Maybe it is going to be great.
I agree with the FG reference, I couldn't pinpoint it, but I'm hoping it's just a very good non-oscar movie...
Camila Mendes as Teela. American actress of Brazilian lineage. Since the movie won't be rated R, it doesn't matter much who plays her, I guess.* *Prince Adam, with Teela around, we should never have even seen you out and about. "Where's Adam?" "Where do you THINK?" "Can't say I blame him."
Okay - first, where is Nic Cage? He needs to be in this movie. Second, I will need to be extremely high and drunk to watch this. The guy playing He Man is ungodly wooden and boring… I’m having Sam Worthington flashbacks from Clash of the Titans… Also - Skeletor isn’t ghey enough.
He-Man actor gives me that ‘I’m an aging Disney child actor who wanted to stay relevant so I slept with Hollywood producers to get a leading role’ vibe.
