The issue with Houston is that we really needed Green to be an alpha number one option (or 1A/1B). He wasn't that. He was still a good player. Posters here are so bitter that he didn't pan out to be a superstar that they call him trash. He isn't going to be leading teams to the playoffs by himself, but he will be part of good teams that can get to the playoffs. I think with a diminished role, he may actually perform up to par. If Suns fans are not expecting a superstar out of him but rather have tempered expectation, then there is likelihood they will be happy with the results. A very good role player, a potential good sidekick or 3rd best player on a team.
His body of work has not even guaranteed him a starting spot on a contender yet...... He is an occasional starter at best because his fundamentals are not solid enough and his shooting comes and goes.
I want the guy to do well and KD is just as valuable to us as Green & Brooks are to the Suns. I’d do that deal 10/10 even if Green explodes to stardom.
in the playoffs being led by Alpi was fine. But being behind everyone else? in the regular season not 2nd, not 3rd, not 4th, but woirst of the starters in terms of Net Rating and BPM
I think playing with Booker will be good for Green. He will be able to see firsthand what it takes to be an elite guard.
Up to this point in his career we have already seen that when his 3 point shot is falling at a high rate he looks great. The thing is that up to this point in his career the 3 point shot didn’t fall very consistently. Last night the 3 pointer was on and he looked great….we will see how consistently he can shoot it in Phoenix.
I think he wears a mouth guard for bruxism. I am glad he went to the doctor about that. Fixed his enunciation. His face looks more fuller and healthier. Glad for him. Trade for Jalen?, Ime would never allow Jalen Green to be back anyway. He never trusts him with critical last shot.
Of course Jalen is so low IQ he doesn't comprehend the veteran guard who, you know, won a championship. Maybe one day he'll get into double digits in the brain cell department. Will be interesting to see if double digit kids - or double digit brain cells - comes first.
