I mean, I don't know if I LIKE it, but it does look a lot better than keeping FVV.... the team would still have too many forwards... Maybe they would sell low on a Dejounte Murray trade?

Not sure if this one really works, but whatever. Jaylen Brown for FVV, Tari Eason (S&T), filler if necessary, and draft capital.

Celtics get a young wing prospect, along with strong draft capital and a large expiring contract.

    Amen / Smart
    Brown / Sheppard
    Durant / Bogdan
    Smith / DFS
    Sengun / Adams or Capela

Can’t aggregate Tari in a trade. Depending on the draft capital they might go for it with Jabari, which would be stupid on the Rockets’ side.

I think if we replace FVV with a quality playoff-winning caliber PG... we got a puncher's chance in the playoffs. I know Fred is those things BEFORE the injury and age (but IMHO he was slowing down before the ACL tear).

I was an avid FVV supporter before the big $$$ contracts. Now I just don't think we'll be getting enough value for Tilman's $$$.

I think we also need a young athletic high-flying center (Cenac would have been perfect IMHO... but whatevs).

NEW PG // Smart // Thornton
    Amen // Reed // Okogie?
    KD // Bogi // Copeland?
    Bari // Tari // Unc?
    Alpi // Adams // Cluff?

So you could theoretically use FVV + DFS + Capela + 1 of 2027 picks to acquire that new PG

I could envision any of the following:
    - Dejounte Murray (worked with Ime in SA)
    - Jrue Holiday (brother worked with Ime in HOU)
    - Darius Garland (not really my cup of tea)

First, I envision a three team trade with HOU - LAC - NOP

LAC: FVV (HOU) + Looney (NOP) + Davison (HOU) + 2028 HOU FRP (top 5 protected)
Clippers clear more cap space and open room for young backcourt plus pick up another FRP.

    NOP: Garland (LAC)
fits the team timeline better than Murray.

HOU: Murray (NOP) + Matkovic (NOP)
more dynamic defender than Fred so could be paired with Reed on occasion. Matkovic is another Balkan sniper to up our outside shooting.

Second, Rox acquire a player than can be paired WITH Alpi and also play by himself in the post or the wing.
Send Adams + Capela + 2 SRPs (2027, 2031) to MIL for Myles Turner

    Murray // Smart // Thornton
    Amen // Reed // Okogie
    KD // Bogi // Copeland
    Bari // Tari // Matkovic
    Alpi // Turner // Cluff

I think that roster is deep and talented enough to be sneaky good to make WCF - depending on health. Not sure if it could beat SAS or OKC in 7 game series, but it would have a puncher's chance IMHO. Still have a chance at a high 2027 pick to add to the team in the future as well.

I would trade for Bronny James. Whichever team ends up signing Bron will overpay to get Bronny too. Same reason threats had to be sent out to the league on draft day for 29 teams to stay away from him. Probably would be an easy way to net a few 2nd rounders.

Sengun and the Nets 2027 1st to Brooklyn, MPJ to the Bulls and Leonard Miller to the Rockets.
    Rockets get a young unicorn.

Dejounte was my choice the last half of the season for FVV + PHX27’ but not sure if they would take that with news of his knee exploding. Jamal Murray has been my choice past couple weeks. I’d actually prefer him over Brown

I think Murray is available and can be had for very little but not sure how he would fit with Ime. I think Murray and Pop were not on good terms in SA.

If Ime wants a decent point guard he’ll get over it lol. I also meant Jamal Murray as the one I’d target now. I’d take Dejounte but wouldn’t give up more than Fred and the PHX 27
