Trump will add it to another war he won and use it as a cry for his Nobel Peace Prize, because he has the mindset of a psychopath.

You think Bibi is going to wait 60 days before he tries to end the peace deal?

No. The U.S. abandoned them, as predicted. Anyone who trusts this POTUS to stay the course is a fool. And I don’t care. Netanyahu did this to himself and his country.

Trump Parties While America Surrenders - The Atlantic

Reportedly, the upcoming agreement requires a cessation of hostilities in the region, including in Lebanon—and Trump is negotiating as if he can deliver on that demand while leaving Jerusalem out of it. Today, the Israelis said that Hezbollah had launched weapons into Israel. Rather than calling on the Iranians to restrain their proxy, Trump took to social media to tell the Israelis to calm down, noting that the attack “was very small and meaningless, nobody was hurt, injured, or killed, and should not disrupt this important process.”

I do want to make thing abundantly clear.

The military did all they were supposed to do. I'm truly sorry that old intelligence made us bomb a school full of children, but unfortunately WAR SUCKS and bad intel leads to such results.

with that being said, if anyone thinks we "lost" the actual war they are very wrong.

Our government with no clear end game or off ramp is the reason we are where we are at this point.

When I hear folks saying we lost the war, I take a certain amount of offense. This isn't Vietnam, where we really did lose the war on the field of battle.

We could have run roughshod over the entire country with little resistance, and I am glad we did not put boots on the ground, but to say we lost the war is incorrect.

What we lost was a clear path forward once we engaged. When you bomb the crap out of a country that the leaders have no value for anything but oil and self preservation, damned be the people who populate your country, you can't win unless it is total extinction.

We lost on these two important points:
    Regime change
    No nukes.

But that is not the military's fault.

But what do you do, kill everyone in Iran or save face and negotiate like a nasty divorece.

What? I’m not a defender of Trump, but he didn’t abandon that evil pos

he sold this big plan of an uprising and regime change in Iran like he did to the last 6 presidents. Trump didn’t abandon him, Trump for once is eyeing American interests. He is a fool for falling for it in the first place but Bibi only has to blame himself for being evil abd wicked

That’s because you are failing to understand what winning means. If the costs of what was incurred further US interests you can in the lightest term consider that winning (again being very generous even)

    The opposite of that happened

people get surprised that Iran is fighting asymmetrically. Well no duh. They are fighting fo objectives not kill for kill.

they didn’t invest in a navy or air force. They invested in tunnels and underground fortresses meant to be nearly completely resistant to aerial campaigns and force an enemy t a ground invasion that would almost certainly be too difficult for the enemy to even consider engaging in.

Irans credibility and status in the world is higher than it has ever been.

the girls school isn’t the only atrocity before, and yo know damn well that the US would erase a country for doing something similar and killing diplomats in the middle of negotiations

When you end up in a place worse than where you started after you initiate a conflict, you lost. We all lost. The whole world lost other than the oil companies and Russia who made a ton more money than they would have. Make no mistake, the hard liners in Iran won and are playing with house money. They have more control now of their country than when this initially started.

    We achieved nothing.

    My perspective is simply this:

Israel counted on the US to finish the job. The US said, “nope, nevermind.”

If the US enters a conflict, it should plan to win it strategically. This was poorly planned and was doomed to fail from the start. Even if it had been planned properly, the chances of success were probably still quite low, but the US would stick with its partner and exit together, not in this way.

And yes, I have no qualms about this. Netanyahu is evil and thought he could ride Trump. No one can ride him. He will do whatever he thinks is best for him, and that’s abandoning them at this time.

As I stated weeks ago, it’s time to go home, so I’m all for ending this.

Maybe we made Iran a protectorate? $300 billion is a sizable fortune.

CBS: The Iranians are saying they're gonna have access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund. True or false?

JD Vance: That's the sort of things they could have access to, so long as they honor their end of the obligation.

Is it their money from the sanctions? Like frozen assets or is this money taxpayers are footing the bill for. If it is, I bet you anything, someone is Trump's circle is getting a commission on it.

Vance was notably less forthright this morning than Trump about the Strait of Hormuz being reopened "toll free" immediately. The VP suggested the nature of the Strait's reopening will be part of the 60-day technical talks that begin once the MOU is signed "Well, our expectation is that the Strait is going to be opened in a toll free way for the long term. And that's the sort of thing that we're going to figure out in these technical negotiations," he told CNBC

“our expectation”….”we’re going to figure out”

so nothing is set in stone and Iran is gaining access to boatloads of cash so we can have further negotiations

So, there is no agreement. We just have an agreement to work on an agreement with some temporary concessions. Gotcha.

Wake me up when this is all over. This is getting tiresome.

North Korea because they actually have a nuclear weapon.

If Iran had a nuclear weapon, the answer would be Iran simply because those motivated by religion are always the most dangerous.
