I would do Thompson, Sengun, and Adams along with a pick. I would play a Giannis, KD,Smith,Reed, and Eason are my 5. Giannis is the bully, KD and Reed the snipers, Eason and Jabari fill in the boxes. Sign a couple of wings, keep Okogie, and a couple of bigs and run it for 3 yrs. After that, re evaluate. Other than that, we're wasting our time.
I would give up three 1sts. Gotta sign shooters in FA. I probably would try to trade Amen for a top 10 pick and draft a PG then sign a vet shooter in FA.
This would still fail because in this case we don't have a starting caliber stretch 5, which Giannis absolutely requires. He is not a center and does not want to be a center. It does make some sense to just do Sengun and Amen if we're going down this stupid path (I would NOT add any draft picks if they're getting both players) but we absolutely would need a follow-up trade for a stretch 5, or maybe Myles Turner in the deal. I think this trade would promptly blow up in our faces though. I think Giannis and/or KD would get hurt and we would be a first round exit next season, and I think after that the window would basically be closed. I guess if we're sending both Amen and Sengun we would retain our draft hoard and would at least be able to rebuild again right away. I'd still rather not though, if we're that out on our best two young players we should just go get draft picks for them.
Kings & Hornets supposedly have had talks on a Sabonis trade. Get Sengun in there and get the 14 & 18 picks this year
No matter what Stone does, it will likely not lead to a championship as the Rockets are depending on an unlikely breakout from at least one of the young guys as it is. I'm not opposed to a Sengun for Giannis trade. I would not send Milwaukee both of Amen and Sengun. The media was wrong by essentially 2 FRPs (or equivalent) last season for Durant (JSJ, Reed were basically worth a FRP in my book and the speculation was 3 of Reed, JSJ, and/or picks). I was over by one. Media is speculating Herro, Ware, 3 FRPs and matching salary for Miami. If Houston trades for Giannis, I'm expecting Sengun and 1-2 FRPs (or equivalent). That would allow the Rockets to still have the juice to build a roster to work with Giannis. Odds are, that roster doesn't win, but it is better than the trade KD, but not actually a rebuild plan. If Bucks want more, they will have to go elsewhere. Correct. If the Rockets are not willing to consider trying to win with Amen and Sengun, they should bust it up. Getting rid of vets for picks unitl Amen's 6th and Sengun's 8th is not trying to me. Going for a rebuild is not a bad plan. I'd still prefer to see what the young guys do this season as I don't think the pick(s) that could be acquired for Durant are worth enough not to see another season of the young guys.
Lol, what are the Knicks gonna offer? Towns How many picks do they even have atm? this Giannis trade saga has been the most dragged out sh*t in recent memory
Put this under just as believable as Durant getting injured and totally rehabbing during Game 3 behind a curtain just out of view.
??? Giannis is in the last year of his deal. I think it is perfectly believable that the Bucks are crapping their pants because the offers are not close to what the media thinks Giannis is worth, and are hoping New York can be used to scare up better offers.
That isn't what the tweet said. The tweet is focused on what the Bucks will do. There is absolutely no reason for the Bucks not to wait until after the Finals.
Supposedly the Bucks want to trade Giannis before this year's draft (that leaves [checks watch] not much time). Knicks, though? They know they're NEW YORK CITY but the cupboard is nevertheless bare. This is all smoke. I'm sure the Bucks' GM is saying, "Let them call, they won't have anything."
https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/286031/Celtics-Resurface-As-Potential-Trade-Destination-For-Giannis-Antetokounmpo Giannis Antetokounmpo has been trending towards a trade to the Miami Heat over the past few days, but Bill Simmons indicated on his Thursday podcast that he's received information that the Boston Celtics have reemerged as a potential destination. Antetokounmpo is believed to have a preference to remain in the Eastern Conference with the Celtics and Heat on his radar. Simmons had previously indicated that a trade for Antetokounmpo by the Celtics was unlikely and that the front office had a preference to keep their core of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White together. "I thought Boston was out of this," said Simmons. "I know Boston was out of this. And I was wondering if they were playing possum or now. I think they were playing a little possum. I think they're in on Giannis. "I'm not recanting what I said before. I don't really know the reasons for it. Maybe they felt like Miami's offer was an offer they can beat? Maybe they want to drive up the price of Miami's offer up and they don't actually have interest in him. "But as I said over and over again, Giannis is pushing for Miami and Boston—those are the two locations. And really wants to end up in Boston because he would have the best chance to win a title. And I think Boston is not ruling out the idea. That's my intel. "And in general I'm prepared for anything with Boston now. I think you can basically say... it goes back to the Brad Stevens' speech right after the Philly series when he was really mad about the result and really questioning whether this was the right style and whether they needed to be in the paint more. I wonder if they're going to use this opportunity with the assets they have and the $27 million trade exception to completely change what this team looks like. "Who knows? They may not do anything. But I thought they were sitting out this Giannis thing, but I no longer think that. That's all I'm going to say." On draft night, the Celtics could trade up to four future first round picks and two swaps, per our Tradeable Picks page. A trade involving Antetokounmpo has been expected to be executed by the 2026 NBA draft on Tuesday, June 23rd. On Thursday, Jake Fischer reported that he has also received information that the Celtics are lurking as a potential Antetokounmpo destination. The Celtics have yet to engage in any meaningful conversations with the Bucks, but their potential to get involved "genuinely concerns Miami."
What do you call KD and Smith? Giannis is the center just like KAT is playing center. Giannis is the bully still and flanking him with KD, Smith, Eason, and Sheppard gives the team spacing and size.
